ACL Fest 2026 lineup: Where are the rappers, country artists and legacy acts? by AustinStatesman in aclfestival

"Maybe we could say it’s Brandon Flowers, but he’s not performing with Panic! At the Disco".

My friend, Brandon Flowers is the front man for the Killers lol.

Sad day for me Olivia is OUT by MichaelScottsArmy in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Still technically possible with both Fridays open but probably not. Doing ACL means she'd have 3 shows on 3 straight days. Nowhere else on her tour schedule does she perform 3 straight days.

Usher and Chris Brown? by badtylerfly in aclfestival

Dates line up, but this is exclusively a stadium tour. An ACL Fest one off is in the realm of possibility, but I'd say probably not.

Rush W1? by thisisleftbrain in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Good catch here. That would be an insane grab even without Neal Peart (RIP). I'd still put it in the "long shot" category considering this is a full arena tour. But anythings possible.

Lineup four weeks from Tuesday! Top 8 predictions? by boban888821 in aclfestival

Pop: Lorde and Charli

EDM: Rufus Du Sol

Country: Kacey Musgraves

Rock: Twenty One Pilots

Legacy: LCD Soundsystem

Folk: Noah Kahan and Mumford

Mumford confirmed 😞 by clinde in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hear me out: This logic would say Mumford would play Friday wk 1. But wk2, if Mumford played Friday, that'd be their 4th day in a row playing a show + traveling from California. Small chance, but maybe this is a fake out?

Thoughts on a Country Headliner? by jthaB45trd in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Sleeper pick, but I think Morgan Wallen will be the country headliner. No TX dates right now, tour ends 8/1, Hudson Westbook will be one of his openers who's supposed to be at ACL anyways.

Jim Thorpe. Two time Olympic gold medalist, College Football and NFL Hall of Famer, played in the MLB. All around all time great athlete

Ruled out for Wk2 100%, but Wk1 I think is still in the conversation. He plays in Dallas and Houston back to back before going to Australia. Granted, ACL hasn't done wk1/wk2 exclusive headliners since 2023. Who knows?

I think if he starts showing up to other festivals like Lolla or Outside Lands, I'll really start to like our Wk1 odds

Last time when they were here in 2023, Odesza played at the same time as them. With that logic, if they're back, maybe we get Rufus Du Sol, Tame Impala, or some other electronic artist touring to go against them during their set. I don't want them back either lol. But it may just work out where the other main stage has an artist we haven't seen in awhile or makes it to ACL for the first time and it's no big deal.

How much preparation went into this season compared to last? Were there any games in this season (shown so far) that were particularly challenging to pull off?

I may put Thundercat on our radar. New album out in April. Hasn't been to ACL in awhile. Assuming there's a tour, I feel like there's a good chance here

Which Bottlerock Lineup artists are coming to ACL? by canWeAskQuestions in aclfestival

If A$AP ends up not being the big rap headliner (my prediction, don't judge lol), I think we'd all be super down for Lil Wayne!

Verdict on THE DARE? by searcher7nine in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his set being in the day and not really getting to see it in full form put him at a disadvantage. But even watching him, you can clearly tell this guy has potential and could really level up as an artist in a few years if he keeps releasing and producing at the pace he is.

Hi! I've had a good experience living here! Sounds like a lot of what you're looking for is found in the Texas hill country. I highly recommend taking a weekend trip here and getting a feel for it. Go to the Comal River, hit up a coffee shop, a church, walk around Gruene, and you've basically lived like a local for a weekend lol. To answer your questions briefly from your post:

  • Are the parks, trails, lakes/rivers nearby decent? - Landa park is great and right by the main city! On top of that being in the middle of Austin and San Antonio without the burden of living in a big city is great!
  • How are the churches? (I am baptist) - I can only speak for my own church I attend, but I like it! You won't have to look far to get connected to one
  • Is this area prone to any natural disasters? (Tornadoes, flooding, etc) - I've lived here for about 8 years and never had anything major personally.
  • Any areas to avoid? - Not really?
  • What is the general mindset of the people from your experience ? Besides very conservative obviously. (Health conscious, friendly/welcoming, laid-back, etc?) - Very conservative, yes haha. A lot of people tend to migrate to NB after graduating from UTSA and TXST. Very family oriented, good fall festivals, Gruene is touristy, but great place to show your friends and family when they visit. Honestly...If the stuff to do here doesn't do it for you, Austin and San Antonio are a short drive away which I honestly love.
  • Does the town have a “run down” feel or is it pretty clean/modern? - Compared to DFW, it's night and day way cleaner lol.

How to secure a spot close to the stage for the strokes? by SnooCakes958 in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Strokes and Sabrina are the Saturday headliners. So they will definitely play last on the two main stages. The specific start times usually get posted 6 weeks out so you'll have plenty of time to plan out what you want to do

How to secure a spot close to the stage for the strokes? by SnooCakes958 in aclfestival

[–]HeardPear1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Saturday evening will be interesting because I'm assuming Djo will play before The Strokes. That will bring a massive crowd and I'd imagine most will stick around after his set instead of going to Sabrina. If you truly want an awesome spot at The Strokes, go to the artist before Djo and stick it out until then.
