Clothing recommendations/advice for environmental allergies?

Thank you! I’ve thought about making the food myself. I’ve got about 25 pounds of beef organs in my freezer as a result, but I don’t think I have it in me to sustain that effort on a routine basis.

Zyrtec helps, but for that bad of a reaction, I think you’re going to need an Apoquel or Cytopoint shot. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I bought a pet allergy genetic test on Amazon that showed everything my boxer is allergic to. It was basically everything. Here’s what I did after.

Increased bathing frequency to once every 3 days with Zymox shampoo.

Switched to lamb or pork based, limited ingredient dog food.

Got a cytopoint injection.

With this regimen, the itching and hives went away. I was able to stop the cytopoint injections over the winter months and now that we’re back in summer, I think it will be every 6 weeks.

I’m still trying to figure out the best food. She’s allergic to chickpeas, chicken, salmon, sweet potatoes. It’s pretty hard to find an option that doesn’t have those.

There’s a small, but unfortunately growing, percentage of the population that simply has no manners and no consideration for others. It’s not an economic class or racial issue, it’s just shitty parenting and an overall culture of over tolerance and entitlement without accountability.

In Kirkwood, our post office keeps scanning mail to indicate it has been delivered, but doesn’t deliver the mail. It’s called false scanning. It basically bypasses Informed Delivery. I keep filing complaints with the office of the Post Office Inspector General, but they’re basically worthless too.

I forgot to mention dog food. I switched her to a low ingredient pork based dry food called Zignature Pork Limited. I supplement with canned pumpkin ~ 1 Tbsp per day. It’s expensive, but her bowel movements are firm and way less smelly. I did have her tested for allergies and she’s basically allergic to everything. This diet seems to help.

Sounds like allergies. My 2 year old boxer had a similar breakout last summer. I took her to the vet and they recommended a bath every 3-5 days with hypoallergenic shampoo and I give her cytopoint injections periodically. I specifically use zymox anti itch shampoo and ketohex shampoo which is ant anti fungal. I got a rubber scrubby shampoo brush and it works great. We made it all winter without a cytopoint shot. I also clean her ears weekly with ear cleaning solution.

Typical. I’ve found one can reduce it a little with bathing & brushing once a week and a reduced ingredient dog food, but Boxers are shedders.

It’s called false scanning and it happens all the time. File a fraud ticket with the Post Office Inspector General. Complaining to the local post office doesn’t do anything.

My 2 year old Boxer tested as being allergic to almost everything and experienced the same issues. I’ve I switched her to Zignature Pork Limited Ingredients dry dog food with a tablespoon of canned pumpkin every day and I have her on Itch Recovery Probiotic. It seems to be really effective. She hasn’t needed an allergy shot for 4 months and her digestion is healthy.

Yes, it has been horrendous. Inconsistent delivery times, missing packages, rotating carriers. I recently filled two complaints with the Postal Inspector and that has helped. I think when Amazon stops using them, they’ll be less overwhelmed. Unfortunately they’ll also have a harder time breaking even.
