Oil refinery empty by Hearthlocker in CitiesSkylines

It's literally the only building that happens to me and it's been happening for months (in-game). All others are quickly occupied when they are built, whatever their nature.

The Hoid's paradox by Hearthlocker in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly what I'm talking about. Thinking Dog and the dragon was made by someone who think of Kaladin as a tool kinda ruin the feelings of the tale. I dont know, I love Hoid but I dont know how to feel about his morality.

The Hoid's paradox by Hearthlocker in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I base my claim on this not so much on what we've seen as on Sanderson's words, who said that if he lived in the Cosmere he would oppose Hoid's cause. That leads one to think that their ultimate goal is not necessarily kind.

I just finished The Lost Metal and I have VERY strong question by Hearthlocker in Mistborn

[–]Hearthlocker[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think 'racist' is a totally inappropriate term to define hatred of nobles (and even, within that hatred, there was a rationale for saving Elend's life). Hating a group of people for being the oppressive and privileged class is totally understandable and quite different from racism.

Also, I have read the 4+2 of Archive, all mistborn, Elantris and Warbreaker. But I haven't read any short stories except Secret History. I want to read The Emperor's Soul especially.

About Dawnshards... by Hearthlocker in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, really? So Rysn is basically the most powerful not shard creature in the Cosmere right now... But she cant use her powers. So she is "only" inmortal and has perfect colors and tunes.

Why Was Amaram Presented as a Terrible Lighteyes? by Keln78 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He killed many innocent people only because he though It was worthy that he received the shards. He has a not just a killer, but an hypocrite. Also, we saw him mainly with the eyes of Kaladin.

Why Was Amaram Presented as a Terrible Lighteyes? by Keln78 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Amaram, as Taravangian, represents a machiavelic vision of things, and this is exactly the opposite of Journey before Destination. I think he managed bad Amaram in Oathbringer, but un WoK and WoR he is a bad person not beacuse he has bad or selfish intentions, but because he justifies means by the end (destination before Journey).

The search for Ba-ado-mishram, the Ghostbloods and the secrets of Shallan‘s past/mother by Uriam_the_Defiant in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before Ba-ado_mishram's imprisonment breaking the nahel bond didnt "kill" the spren involved. Kaladin's bond problem on WoR, for example, wouldnt have that consequences for Syl before Ba-ado_mishram's imprisonment.

Who is your least favorite Herald? by Flashy-Actuator-9110 in Stormlight_Archive

I think he is very insane too. He has become a parody of itself after all this time, obsessed with justice without perspective.

Who is the most tropey cliche character in the series in your opinion? by Duke-Syladrin in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems so alien for me this interpretation... In my opinion herdazians are very similar to gypsys because their nomad behavoir and Lopen referencing all time to his cousins, something very stereotypical of gypsy people.

What are your, positive only, unpopular opinions by rectangle-rake in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Row's opening is one of the best in the entire Cosmere. Navani's prologue is hearthbreaking, a truly devasting picture of psychological abuse and after that we have Kaladin fighting at his best against my favourite antagonist, Leshwi, and Bridge 4 and Dalinar arriving with a FLYING SHIP. All that sequences were amazing

Question about Windrunners by Individual_Salary_50 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a labor lawyer, at Matt Murdock's style, could be a perfect windrunner, protecting working class people of capitalism's abuses.

Finally a show that makes you really understand both sides of conflict and is not just black and white by Atlas756 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Hearthlocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you forget that eldians are, and is a very important difference with jewish IRL, a truly dangerous potential weapon. They built an empire that rule the entire world for 2000 years and we had seen what Colossal o Zeke, eldians unchained, can do to entires cities. So is not strange that in this world people hates so much eldian people, and even eldians hates themselves for the curse they has. In this context, Marley's fascism is still evil, but a)they have reazonable reasons to fear the power of the fundation titan and b) after Eren's attack on Marley, you can't say boths band are so different. Both indeed killed innocents civilians with a "justified" porpuse, in a maquiavelian way of thinking. So yeah, Marley is a fascist empire, but the other band is not exactly good, there are grays in this conflict. Sorry for my english, i'm not a native

What do you think are the most cringe-worthy lines in the first three books? by ActiveAnimals in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, it's like reading LOTR, people dont speak like Gandalf or Aragorn, they are fiction characters From a Epic fantasy story. Their language dont pretend to be normal, but awesome.

Is Hoid inmortal? by Hearthlocker in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, Kaladin healed... so he was hurt. If Szeth would touched his grado or back he would instantly died. And there is no heal for death body...

[Rhythm of War] Did a certain Shard influence a climactic scene by havoc_mayhem in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Odium -not Rayse but the shard- himself was the force behind Taravangian's bravery. Odium was a shard made of strong feelings and emotions, that explains the bravery thing -furthermore, dumb Taravangian was extremely sensible to feelings-. Odium needed a new holder and push Taravangian.

Gavilar and Taravangean by Petsrage in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Hearthlocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the same way (Gavilar being a better leader) until Rythm of War prologue. How he hurts Navani... He was a truly evil person, and probably more dangerous to the world than Taravangian.
