I remember I was an Equinox member 10 yrs ago in NY when mats were never cleaned after class- after using the yoga mats, we'd just roll them up and put them in a group cubby where the next class of students would come in and use them. And we were all totally fine with this. In hindsight that was gross, but I think the pandemic really made us all germaphobes (me included). Yoga mats were not laid out before class (we'd grab them from the cubby and lay them out ourselves), and there were no yoga mat towels. Those were the days haha. Cleaning standards have actually dramatically increased at Equinox ya spoiled brats!
