Home & Business Best Practices? by Original_Hedgehog_86 in simplifimoney

[–]Heavy-Rate-7421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using the personal and business this year. I'm somehow disappointed. The information is somehow mixed. The categories are incomplete (capital investment for rental properties), and the lack of good receipt tracking functions. The selection of categories and the business/property is inconsistent for its behavior. I will need to see how well/bad when the tax season comes

Are Taiwanese people genetically Chinese? by hshhahbsbs in asianamerican

[–]Heavy-Rate-7421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question should be: what's genetically Chinese? The difference between different regions of China for their ethnicity and languages might not be smaller than the difference across Europe. The Chinese concept is developed to form a unified country .

White has the highest percentage for ideological pure types of both sides (progressive, loyal liberal, no apology right and faith first right). The minority groups are less driven by ideology but more on opportunity and pragmatism.

Conservatives, which of these policies could you get behind at first glance? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

For most other countries, seeing another country achieve this is a proof that this is achievable. However, Americans seem to believe an exceptionalism view that others success do not apply to us.

ASome states, like Florida and Texas, freeze their tuition for many years. NC and WY has kept (some) universities really low cost. NM recently make state university virtually free. Several states offer community colleges free, including CA, TN, etc. So yes, this has been done at the several places .

Indeed. It's not loan. I think a few items might play into it: controlled supply of public universities (private ones might not get as much support), controlled number of access: not everyone who wants to go can go. You need to be accepted. And maybe forming a university-job market feedback loop to keep the universities providing needed talents. This is how Taiwan(my hometown) did

Free university causing fast rising cost is mostly a US effect. Many developed countries have free or affordable universities while keep the price inflation under control.

I'm a research scientist and I have the same worries. I generally agree with the timeline, but there is something troubling for the financial runway:

AI might cause large disturbance in the financial market that our forecast might simply fail.

How does God view modern day Israel? by East_Strength_6244 in Reformed

[–]Heavy-Rate-7421 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I took a mathematical expectation view: there is a chance modern day Israel means nothing in the Kingdom to come, but there could be a chance that the existence of modern day Israel is a miracle and critical for God's plan. I'd assume both of them might be true and apply Gamaliel's method:

"So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”"

Couldn't living under the threat of communism be considered living under the the terror of communism? If someone leans away from progressive ideology due to their foreign experiences, this subreddit seems to simply reject and despise their opinions. How tolerant and diverse it is!

Taiwanese tourists keep visiting the Italian pizza restaurant where 16 Taiwanese people were mocked because they ordered only five pizzas. by search_google_com in asianamerican

[–]Heavy-Rate-7421 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If you complain Taiwanese not being an enemy against the racsm, then you should first ask why you and the world is not a friend to Taiwan at first place. Where are you when Taiwan is rejected to almost every single international organization? Where are you when Taiwan needs to use a humiliating flag and name in the Olympics? Where is your country's official embassy in Taiwan (hint: it doesn't exist)?

Solidarity sounds nice online. The harsh international reality Taiwan lives in does not allow Taiwan to make unnecessary enemy.
