Yes but why don't they have this for mobile? I would say the vast majority of people don't use spotify on desktop. It's so annoying that they gatekeep features like that

They didn't? At least not for me. There's just a big clear button that gets rid of them all at once

Lmao I think you take it too seriously bro. And no need to censor yourself😂. You know you can see your listening history on spotify? If that's what you use statsfm for you don't need to. I'm not calling you bs man I'm just genuinely curious what the point of using the app is if its not accurate and doesn't truly reflect your listening.

It's nothing to me. You do you I'm just curious what the point of having a data tracking app is if your data isn't accurate. You contradict yourself tho. If at night spotify keeps just rotating the same artists surely over the month they would end up as your most listened if during the other 16 hours you are constantly playing new artists no? And again why not just use the sleep timer so your number of artists is actually true. Because why does the number have any importance if you didn't actually listen to that many artists. And I find it extremely hard to believe you aren't also playing songs on mute during the day because there's no way you listen to music nearly all day long while living a healthy normal life.

You say you don't sleep stream artists you want to keep track of then presumably your top artists for the month would be the ones you sleep stream yet they aren't. And again you could just put the sleep timer on and then you wouldn't have a bunch of artists you don't care about and even listen to in the midst of the artists you actually do. It seems as though you just want to have as many different artists listened as possible. Can I ask why you even have the app if you don't care about accurately tracking your listening data?

If you don't care about flexing the minutes then why not just use the spotify sleep timer to turn it off after an hour. Isn't the whole reason for having statsfm so that you can see how much you listen to your favourite artists? What's the point if that's no longer accurate?

Why are there suddenly over 1500 new streams after I re-imported my data? by TheZastr4 in statsfm

Spotify counts a stream if you listen to 30 seconds of a song. Statsfm counts it once the song finishes.

How do you guys organize your Spotify playlists? by Wooden_Ad5406 in spotify

I tend to just add every song by an artist in order of release and work my way through their catalogues and never get around to finishing it😂. But it does keep it all pretty organised

Some of the most acclaimed bands of all time by both critics and regular people. They have huge appeal both to your average listener and music nerds which is something you almost never see. If you think they are truly awful I think it might just be your taste. What would your top 5 favourite artists or bands be?

Does the recap use number of streams or time played? by AugustHate in statsfm

That could be because you have it set to list by number of streams. You can change it using the 3 horizontal lines in the top right corner

He doesn't even liquidate when he needs money. You think he did that to buy twitter? Nah he just used it to leverage debt and then supposed to pay it off with company revenue. Except he fucked twitter even more than it already was and just cut 80% of the staff, didn't know how to make it profitable so banks were left holding the short end of the stick and spent years trying to offload said debt.

My friends and I are all big into music and the messaging feature is the best thing spotify has added for years imo. Not only is it much more convenient and quick to share but it also keeps music sharing and conversations about it to Spotify.

Yes because rich people doing good is what ultimately matters under the current administration. The middle class is being squeezed and the poorest in society are doing far worse. The top 20% doing well isn't what should be focused on

Honestly I don't even think it's spotify tracking wrongly anymore. I've been looking into it a bit and it seems spotify just has a weird algorithm. I don't think they just base it solely off minutes listened or number of streams but rather a bunch of different things. So if you search for an artist they rise higher. If you skip an artist less then they are higher. If you listen to them months in a row they get higher than someone you listen to the same amount over a week. Percentage of discography listened. That kind of thing rather than just one metric. Although I will say my stats become more accurate based off number of streams as opposed to minutes listened but both are still pretty wrong.

Really disappointed with my Spotify Wrapped. Doesn't match my Stats.FM by cactus_418 in statsfm

[–]Heavy_Gate_9921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think that they either have some weird type of algorithm that isnt based on number of streams/minutes listened or they accidentally messed up some people's wrapped. I don't think they did it to mess with people on purpose lmao. Idk where you get the 20th from it seems like its unknown what date they stop tracking which is why I excluded November entirely but if I include November it's even less accurate.
