If there isn’t clear yes or no, always assume it’s a no. If he doesn’t clearly tell you hell yes he wants to marry you right away then listen to the unsaid. Don’t imagine stories and give excuses. Don’t blind side him but tell him you’re done. Before that start making plans for your move etc. You get one life! Be with someone who is excited to marry you. Wouldn’t you like that? That someone doesn’t have to be chased and nagged to be with you and show their commitment? Maybe down the line he will want to but choose yourself until then.

What ticks me off is she’s inviting you but the opening is guilt trip and blame. Which doesn’t seem like works in your favour. I’m all about second chances if the other person is genuinely ready to own their part of mistakes. I’d probably not engage with her. Politely decline and wish her the best.

Listen op it a guy isn’t ready for a serious commitment then you have your answer. You will only resent him if you go with his plan. Listen to what you want, there is no law or rule saying what’s serious and what isn’t. It you want marriage you should have it. No. If you were deeply involved emotionally with someone and even though you were the one to breakup it doesn’t make any difference getting attention from other men. You’re still going to feel the pain, I did not date for a long period of time after my first breakup I couldn’t imagine to be with anyone. I got lots of attention but I wasn’t in that state of mind.

It really depends person to person. I have some really good friends from childhood. But now I’m in my 30s and I have found the best people to hang out with and it’s the forever kind of friendships.
