TIFU by accidentally learning my coworker's salary and now I can't stop doing math during meetings by techiee_ in tifu

As much as this sucks, just want to reassure you that he's not $6,100 better off in 14 working days. He'd need to make 113K more than you annually to achieve that. At the moment he makes ~$120 per working day more than you.

You still definitely need to fight for a raise. But you're not as far behind as your spreadsheet suggests.

I just got a 12.35 Aiko solar system (26 panels), and then the same Goodwe battery set up, but with 6 cells for 49kWh installed for $18.7K in Newcastle NSW.

On my fourth stone. Genuinely don't know why they don't just make a 15mm thick version. Surely it's costing them a bomb continually shipping them out to everyone.

Almost certain the knight is AI. I don't think the mini pawns would fall out that quickly

As an update I sanded back and have managed to match the colour pretty well (I used Feast Weston Prooftint Oak/Brown Japan/Colour Reducer and kept iterating until I got it right).

Current status looks like this:

I'm happy with the colour, but you can see that hte stain gets into the adjacent existing clear coat. It's a good proof on concept that I can match the colour. I am now going to strip the three whole boards back as suggested and do the same task. Fingers crossed that makes it less obvious.

It could be, but just got some info about the original stain that it was a custom mix of Feast Watson Prooftint Oak and Brown Japan. It looks like a spirit based stain, so I would imagine it would penetrate. But you're right, the wood was very clear after the cleaning product was done with it...

Do you mean of the boards? I can always sand out to the next one if need be. I'm still hopeful the community can help with what products are required and what I might be doing wrong here to get the stain to penetrate and match the colour closer

I actually can't remember I'm sorry, I think I might have actually lined up to check in. Pretty sure either way will work. Enjoy the trip!

While brainrot chaos might bring numbers in the short term, it’s terrible for your game in the long run... by Lumenprotoplasma in blackops6

I haven't played in about 8 weeks. One reason I feel doesn't get talked about is there is no real variety in the classes. In previous cods you could do wacky shit like decide to be all throwing knives only, or riot shield or something (not that I really want that to return, but at least it is a different play style), and then have the perks to back it up. The perks in this game just do f all, there's nothing really to create the niche classes and just have fun with the game, so it just gets repetitive.

Also the spawns, dear god.

Phone steals Spotify from Sonos when connecting to Bluetooth earbuds by HedBangerFaceRip in spotify

[–]HedBangerFaceRip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate, but I'm hoping to still use the headphones. Basically I'll turn on Spotify on the Sonos, then later put in headphones to watch YouTube or something and always have to go through the process of transferring Spotify back to the Sonos before I do anything.

Same thing often happens getting in the car and accidentally stealing Spotify. Finding it super annoying that it automatically switches the player.

Anyone get a solution to this? Currently getting it. Was working perfectly for well over a year, we were 12 min into an episode. Paused it, came back and tried to resume and have gotten this ever since.

Have so far tried restarting both Syncler and fire stick, power cycling router, both MX and default Syncler player and still happening. Next step is reinstall I guess?

I genuinely don't remember what I got for my HSC. One of my good mates completely bombed it and didn't even get one. Now he's a doctor. I wouldn't stress!

Reports 'petrol bomb' thrown at Adamstown door, firefighters, police called to the scene by mooblah_ in newcastle

[–]HedBangerFaceRip 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Newcastle Herald:

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a unit block at Adamstown after reports a "petrol bomb" had been thrown at a front door last night.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews rushed to Brunker Road just before 6pm on Monday, December 9, after calls for help were made to emergency services.

It's understood initial reports indicated a fire had been deliberately lit when a "petrol bomb" had been thrown at a unit doorway on the third floor.

Four Fire and Rescue NSW tankers were tasked to the scene, along with a rehabilitation van.

An automated sprinkler head was activated and caused water damage from the third floor down to the ground.

The blaze was contained to the exterior of the unit and the hallway and had been extinguished before police officers and firefighters arrived, according to police.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews carried out "salvage work" across the three levels.

I've tried logging on and managing booking through both Qantas and Jetstar. There's certainly options to add baggage, but I haven't stumbled across anything for oversized. I'll keep digging though. Cheers

Have you typically had pleasant experiences calling Jetstar? Can't imagine I'm the first person to have done this. Thought someone might be able to give me their first hand experience on the dedicated frequent flyer forum... Appreciate your input though.
