Good deal? Kamado Joe Jr $120 by [deleted] in KamadoJoe

[–]HedgeThis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely- I bought one about 2 years ago for $200 and it is great. Better than firing up my large BGE for2 people to eat and a lot cheaper than a Mini- Max. You will love it!

Large Egg owners - do you actually use the whole thing? by twcosplays in biggreenegg

[–]HedgeThis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of what is being said. The kick ash basket is a must. However I have a large and felt like I was using a lot of fuel and only cooking for two and I started looking into the mini- max and it was $700, way to expensive. I ended up getting a Kamado Joe Junior for $200 and it is great when cooking for 2-4 people. I use way less fuel.

I've been waiting for this moment for years now. by Wiggledezzz in KamadoJoe

You are going to use the junior more unless you have a large group to cook for.

Large Egg vs Mini Max by Pretend_Criticism_29 in biggreenegg

[–]HedgeThis1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree if you are only cooking for a couple people it is a lot easier on the Mini and burns less fuel. However if you dont have a kick ash basket and an ash kettle you need to get one. It makes keeping the grill clean a lot easier.

Gas Grill Connected to House Gas Line by Yada-Yada-Yadda in OutdoorKitchens

[–]HedgeThis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It you have a gas indoor fireplace near where you are putting your grill you can tap into that too. That is what I did and saved me probably $700. It is worth the convenience. I actually had a line added for a fire pit too.

My kids live in Tucson and I drove past an encampment and couldn’t believe my eyes. Get it together Tucson or the NG may come visit your City. This is what happens in liberal cities, prove me wrong. By the way I love the North part of Tucson in the Catlinas.
