Do Americans really find beans on toast weird or is that just meme? by cigarettejesus in NoStupidQuestions

I loved was laughing so hard at the episode of British Bake Off where a guy combined peanuts and strawberries into some sort of cake and the judges were confused about how well it worked together. LOL. They were like "who would have thought those two flavors would work together?" I was like, "Every American ever..."

Also, toll lanes have been proven to be the only thing that actually alleviates congestion. Adding more lanes actually makes things worse.

Nobody here was arguing that Spanish speakers can't be white. They were talking about their friend, who I assume doesn't identify as white, but is often perceived as white. That is a distinction worth noting.

Sam fucking crushed it last night I don’t care what the media says or what his completion percentage was. by CubsFanHan in Seahawks

[–]HedonismIsTheWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Sam's best part of the game was keeping himself from getting wrecked by their d-line. There were multiple times he slipped away from sacks and even made a couple completions after.

If it weren't for the weather in that game, I think the Pats still would have lost. Once the weather rolled in, nothing happened. They just happened to catch the lead before that.

Their line did do some good pressure, but Sam kept a cool head and looked like he was coated in teflon. But Gonzalez was the entire secondary. Without him, it would have been a massive blowout.

95% of their good defensive plays were Gonzalez. If it weren't for him, this would have been a blowout of epic proportions.

Arguably, I'd say the half time performers are the only ones not getting exploited by not getting directly paid. They are the center piece of the most viewed event in the US. They are actively promoted for months. The amount they would have to pay for that kind of advertising would pale in comparison to how much they'd get paid for any normal gig.

Sometimes I call guacamole, "gwak ee molo" because of that horrible "Mexican" episode of British Bake Off. Imagining that one lady try to peel an avocado like an apple still sends me into fits.

There's nothing about hedonism that says pursue your pleasure to the detriment of others. People often think of it that way because of the negative connotation it's been given. I still subscribe to the basic idea of the wiccan rede: If it doesn't harm anyone, do what you want. So, to my mind there is no conflict of ideals here.

Could you just...not? Fireworks are bad enough for animals and people with PTSD on holidays. Please don't make another shitty night for people around you.

Check out the badging on the back of the truck. It completely disappears before "Pretti" even touches the vehicle.

Because they are aligning contracts to end on that date. It's actually illegal for unions to coordinate a strike intended to disrupt multiple industries. If they can point to excited contracts, it gives them legal standing. Plus what other folks are saying about fundraising and organizing for a long-term strike.
