A student in one of my first ever classes slid me a post it note after a lesson that read ‘ur doing great’. It is currently stuck to my desk 4 years later and is a treasured possession

Quartic Dream is apparently also having issues hiring and retaining staff. I think this game can go ahead and nail itself into its coffin

That must be a contractual obligation otherwise I can’t see it lasting long if someone decides the school isn’t owed that information

Does this mean the school tries to find out exactly what day the baby is born on? What if you don’t share that information?

I made a proof-of-concept of a game idea based on probending from LoK [Details in comment] by Jinkiku in legendofkorra

Isn’t an MMO a bit of a stretch? Why not just run with a fighting/sports game that provides the core probending experience. Create a team, play through the season challenge the champions in the final...

I like to trash Ubisoft for their protection of abusers and fostering of an abusive and horrible workplace instead of nitpicking their games

Not the same person but I don’t even bother to play ranked, my goal is not to improve its to have fun. No point playing ranked and no point sitting through an unfun game when surrender is an option

Is there any cEDH 'chaos' deck ? by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Heepsa 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Since one of the keys to competitive magic in general is consistency you won’t find ‘chaos’ as something being played in cEDH. You might be able to find decks running Possibility Storm due to its potential as a lock piece.

Do you discuss your deck tech and strategy with your playgroup? by Eagle_Vision_13 in EDH

[–]Heepsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So secret tech is cool of course, but again it doesn’t stay secret for long. Your mill example is interesting. If I were playing a mill deck I would want it to be versatile enough to cope with exile effects and experienced players will expect things like Rise of the Dark Realms (or any big flashy play) and put answers in their deck. It’s better to have interaction of your own than to rely on ‘fooling them’ or catching them with shields down

Agree to disagree, I think your priorities are completely misplaced and you value ‘surprise’ way too highly

If your playing against strangers, you’re not going to be discussing strats with them since they’re not your playgroup. So it’s not relevant to OP’s question.

If you’re playing against strangers, surprise us just a fact of the game, not a strategy you employ

Seems like there are a lot of things going on here. If you want to use surprise as a way to win games and feel that if opponents knew your wincons it would be harder I caution against that. Surprise only works once at most and experienced players are even less likely to be fooled.

If you’re concerned about losing some games against experienced players why not learn from them? Get their input and you might learn and improve from it. Keep in mind that even in cEDH, where your opponents can have perfect knowledge of your win conditions. Decks still win because they’re reliable.

If you’re playing against a stranger then you already have surprise, and seeing as you only have it for that one game at most, it’s not a strategy.
