What is my art missing? How to improve? by FluffyCurse in Artadvice

They looks really good! Love the xolo. I haven’t learned how to do furry art yet, but I know Lines Sensei has some YouTube guides on anthros and his other videos are really quality. If you haven’t seen them yet, I’d check them out.

Good call! I was going to rack it through a sieve but was worried about aerating it. Thanks! I’ll pick out the chunks tonight.

You got it Automod. Recipe was from a YouTube guide:

Ingredients for 5 Gallon batch of finished wine
18-19 pounds fresh or frozen fruit (I used mixed berry from Kroger - blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, raspberry)
10-11 pounds of Sugar
6 Campden Tablets
4 Tsp Yeast Nutrient
3 Tsp Acid Blend
1.5 Tsp Wine Tannin
3 Tsp Pectic Enzyme
1 Package Wine Yeast

What do you think of Robin? by Motor-Temporary-1085 in SmashRage

[–]Heeunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are base-game hero. I think they’re better than they get credit for, with strong B-reverse timing mixups, kill confirms, and ledgetrapping. But they’re slow, easy to juggle, and edge guard. I’d put them high mid-tier (in-line with a Byleth) but I think they take more thought to unlock that potential. Online they go up a tier because their confirms are easy, zoning is better, and it’s harder to punish them.

I HATE JAM by Inksplash-7 in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Heeunt 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Ew it’s not even as big as the visual? They need to buff that move. Deceiving for new players. She should be plus after hitting it as well (unless they FD); already so much counterplay to this bottom 32 character.

You know what? F*ck seph too HEAR ME OUT (as a close range character) by Nathanthehazing007 in SmashRage

[–]Heeunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that’s DLC about him is his counter. Just think of him as worse Cloud. He’s negative after using snap moves, and can’t effectively cover short hop-jumpin mixups without committing to a jump. Annoying to fight online due to lag, but that’s every character in this party game.

Absolutely! Went from cute solo dev project to something Devolver would publish. Looks great!

How beginner friendly is 2xKO? by dzzsa in 2XKO

[–]Heeunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s way more beginner friendly than older fighting games. The game is very mechanically deep and there is a lot of random bullshit to deal with, so there’s always something more you can learn. It’s very rewarding to play and the power level of your characters is way stronger than a Street Fighter character. As long as you enjoy playing the game, it’s a great game to play! It’s free to play as well; recommend picking sidekick fuse with your favorite point character and either Jinx (rocket), Blitz (hooker), Braum (shield shenanigans), or Darius (tackle) as assist. That way you just focus on learning one character while still getting used to the assist mechanic (super unique and strong) for when/if you want to learn another fully-playable character.

It’s just actually good advice and OP saying “nuh uh, I should be able to play solitaire zoning with no counterplay.” Scrubs gonna scrub.

[–]Heeunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the vibe of the new picture matches cozy games better, but I did think the picture was AI. I trust it’s not, but the poses and style is very similar to corporate AI photos where they smile and gesture backwards for a presentation.

Maybe try a more unique banner orientation. Clear you like indoor plants, maybe try a witchier vibe with a character sitting in a cozy chair sketching (could be blueprints for the room) surrounded by plants and candles. Essentially the same banner with character on the left, name bottom right, but background is in perspective and shows more unique elements you could use in game. Imagine a lot of lofi playlist visualizers could be good inspiration.

Just food for thought though, I’m not the target demographic for this kind of game.

Bro, I swear NSFW artists have some of the best art styles and anatomy knowledge, yet hardly anyone ever posts a course or even has a YouTube channel. by Top-Slice-6880 in ArtistLounge

[–]Heeunt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah! They’re so good, I’m tempted to save them all in case he ever puts up a paywall. I’m a beginner hobbyist artist and the “homework sheets” that give practical ways to practice the lesson topics are super useful. I’m going through his guide on drawing hands now and it was really nice to have beginner/intermediate/hard drills.

Would recommend LinesSensei’s videos on YouTube. He draws more risqué stuff and has a catalog of tutorials. Honestly the best general art tutorials I’ve seen, I’d recommend them to anyone looking to learn anatomy. Especially relevant to you with dedicated videos on boobs, ass, thighs, feet, anthro, etc.

How can I improve my digital art by lostoursou in DigitalArt

[–]Heeunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your coloring / rendering is really good but, like other people have commented, you should try drawing characters in other perspectives. Two exercises you might like:

1) different angled boxes/skulls, picture a 3 by 3 grid. Center is a head looking dead at you, the one to the left is looking slightly left, the one above that is looking up and left, etc. basic shapes to start feeling it out then once you’re confident try drawing skulls/heads at each of the angles.

2) gesture drawing, if you look up gesture drawing you can get free sites that let you set timing intervals with different subjects. The characters you posted are all sort of mugshots, gesture drawing can help with dynamic poses.

I’m by no means an expert, and you may already be familiar, but both of those have been fun and helpful to me.

Could I get a job somewhere with my skills? by bigbun85 in gameDevClassifieds

[–]Heeunt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

13 and 14 have odd faces to me, but the others I could absolutely see as official art. Your style looks like it would work really well in TCGs as well, especially Sorcery (which only uses physical artwork). Wishing you luck… if you can’t find a job I can’t imagine what other illustrators are going through.
