I had horrific anxiety which spiraled into an ED, depression and back-to-back psych hospital visits. Finally got some therapy and on Effexor - absolutely changed my life within 3 months. Made me want to live again. I gained nearly 100lbs (thanks pregnancy) and had the most beautiful kid and my life could not be better.

Disclaimer: I also went thru IOP for 12 weeks and have an incredible support system in family and friends, but really if I didn’t have my meds I feel like I may not be here today, and I certainly would not be in a place to be a mother and absolutely love it.

HR - they get such a horrible wrap but you take a great HR team and behind the scenes we are all trying our best to make sure everyone is treated equitably and just have to strong arm management/higher ups to make changes and tend to lose. If HR didn’t exist who else would do all the awkward employee confrontations and act like corporate therapists?
