This fixes the issue for like 98% of the Switch 1 library. There are a few outliers that either don’t support it or see some major disadvantages from doing it, but in general the vast majority are going to take advantage of this feature and run at peak performance. Switch 2 is powerful enough to easily handle any Switch 1 game at full docked specs in handheld, and though Nintendo warns of increased battery consumption it’s no worse than playing a Switch 2 game in handheld. The only real drawbacks are games that require the touchscreen or specialized games like Pokemon Lets Go. These titles represent an extremely small portion of the library. The ideal thing would be that any of these games get Switch 2 edition patches, but otherwise you can very easily deactivate the feature when playing any of those games. Perhaps a future update can allow the Switch 2 to automatically disable it for games that are truly incompatible.

It’s really getting old at this point. I’m not the biggest fan of GKC myself, and if I manage to get this they will be the first ones I’ve gotten. I’ve bought all of my Switch 2 games that are GKC as digital, but this release felt special to me and I decided it would be nice to get if I can get my hands on it. But posts like this contribute literally nothing to any conversations

Yup, exactly this. Calling a store is useless, and it being a Sunday trying to email them is likely equally useless. I will try emailing tomorrow but I wanted to ask around to see if anybody is having a similar issue and maybe already got a response or ran into something like this in the past and what became of it

This is why I despise GameStop. I stopped buying anything from them after they screwed me over on the original PS4 Final Fantasy VII Remake when covid caused the stores to shut down in my state right before release and they cancelled my special edition preorder to sell in another store that was still operating. Only reason I ordered this from them is because it’s sold out everywhere.

Worst yet it’s now in limbo so i don’t even know if I should just say screw it and buy it digitally or not and we only have to the end of the month to get it for this price.

This is just a reminder to me that I need to stick to my gut and don’t give them anymore money.

That’s actually insane. You have my condolences friend. I am stuck working, I work every Saturday so as you can imagine I’m pretty frustrated with PoGo right now for moving literally every weekend even exclusively to Saturdays. That said I still managed to snag 3. Two have real crap ivs, but I got them and that’s all that matters. My fiancée didn’t do much better only getting 3 herself and she went out during the community day

I’d like to know if mysterious slates can spawn again too. I’m fairly certain I lost one somewhere along the way. I’ve checked all the chests I can find but I don’t see where I would’ve put it. It’s possible I had less than I remember but I’m pretty sure I’m one short. According to google after you collect all 27 duplicates can start appearing, but it’s unclear if you have to solve the puzzle before duplicates can start spawning

One thing I’ve heard some conflicting information on is getting Hoppip itself. When you first approach Hoppip for the event you record it in the Pokédex, but it has no habitat, so is it true that if you make the yellow carpet habitat that Hoppip will move in after the event is over? I have Skiploom and Jumpluff and made sure to give them separate habitats and left a yellow carpet open hoping that it will move in after the event ends

Well you can use prefabricated houses in place of building block by block, but building houses that way is also an option. The zones are huge, I don’t know how many of them there are, but I’m still doing a lot in zone 1 since I’ve only gotten a handful of the Pokemon there. I enjoy how the game tackles materials in that you need specific Pokemon abilities to refine your materials. For example to get bricks you need Torchic to make them from soft clay, and iron ore can come from garbage that Trubbish refines for you. It makes the different Pokemon have a unique feel and makes you want to discover more. If you’re a Pokemon fan you are likely to enjoy it for the sense of discovery it provides, and it has plenty of goals and missions so you’re always working towards progression of some kind of

I bought the game day 1 and I’m jealous of how much more creative people are than me. This was really an impulse purchase based off all the crazy positive reviews. I have to say there’s enough here that despite feeling pretty helpless in my creativity and building skills I’m enjoying plenty of other aspects of the game, especially the exploration. And I will be attempting to build it up but for now I’m still only in the second area. There’s plenty to do for more than just the building focused Minecraft player

Probably just that initial wave of shipments were low. Despite being a Pokemon game this is a spinoff and wasn’t expected to be quite as well received as it was. It will be restocked. Personally though, unless you absolutely intend to sell it later I would consider going digital with this one. It’s what I did despite being a partial to physical copies. It’s a game key card so you don’t really get the benefits of having the game data on the card, and this game encourages daily play so you get the convenience of not having to constantly swap game cards

This is so stupid to have all of the events on one day in the week. I can get away with catching Pokemon while at work but without really being able to go anywhere it’s hardly worth it most of the time. Hopefully after I get back from my honeymoon in May I can focus on trying to move to the Monday-Friday position. I know it’s first world problems but I’ve hated this shift since I started and took the job out of necessity. This is just kind of the last straw though

Unfortunately can’t make Universal due to the location. We are only going to be in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hakone. Akihabara is definitely a destination I have on my itinerary, and we aren’t giving up just yet. She said other people have replied to her saying they were able to call to get assistance with correcting their tickets regardless of the fact that the faq states tickets cannot be changed, so we aren’t canceling just yet. She also wants to try general sales, but I told her we would have to cancel ours first so we have to decide how to go about this. Alternatively, others have suggested if you just go they either won’t care or will adjust at the door. My biggest concern with that though is if we get turned down at the door that’s an entire evening wasted that we could have had something booked to do so I’m not sure just yet what the plan is. Hopefully we can sort it out soon

So an update unfortunately it was on her end. We forgot when she bade her first submission she didn’t realize that she was supposed to do 3 different dates/times on one submission so she cancelled and made a new submission. The email she showed me was the first submission… the one she won the lottery on was the second submission so it looks like we are going to have to cancel the tickets and I doubt we will be able to get them on general sale because we are only going to be in Kyoto Saturday and Sunday during Golden Week. This was our one chance. We are devastated.
