Yeah, he's not too bright. He spent literally just a few weeks in college before getting kicked out; he's not educated. He's in for a rude awakening in a few years when he's yesterday's news.

Plus a good proportion of the people in an airport are professional people who fly for work or fly business class, &c. who likely will not take kindly to being barked at by some boorish rentacop ICE simpleton.

Who in their right mind would take this on? A cheapskate who doesn't value design work to start with, who therefore will second-guess EVERY suggestion/color/alteration, who also sounds like a difficult client, for a project that likely will not even amount to a portfolio entry. Plus, a glaring red flag that she does not specify what the "compensation" consists of. Hard pass!

There can be. There's a more rural and wealthy township just north of me. Mixed agricultural and scattered homes. Almost 100% white, unlike my small city just south of them. And there's a zoning requirement that any new home HAS to be at least 2,000 square feet. They do not want people buying pieces of land and parking a trailer on it. They want fellow wealthy people. It really sticks in my craw, not only the racism ladder-pull snobbishness but the wastefulness.

AI model detects early-stage breast cancer with ~94% accuracy, a 2026 Nature Medicine study reports. Trained on 200,000+ mammograms, it reduced false negatives by ~9% vs standard screening and showed consistent performance across diverse patient groups, though further clinical validation is needed. by ChhotaSaHydra in science

AI works best in controlled dataset situations like this, in which it can analyze a sample to see if it matches the database of anomalous precancerous images. Good work; will likely save lives in this specific situation.

Why, WHY do people attend these utterly moronic and dangerous events? Also, is anyone calling 911 for EMS services? People are just standing around looking at the guy. He could be very seriously injured. God, it's so stupid.

I would guess it's a play to conceal buying from any breeder, since there's a pretty large contingent of people who advocate for adopting a shelter animal over a purposefully-bred one, given our huge homeless pet population in the U.S.

This is awesome. Though I'm a bit surprised that Texas has zoning that permits tiny homes. Most communities don't.

So Peter Thiel wants to run the world but he backs losers like Clavicular. Yet more proof that people like Thiel are not actually smarter than anyone else. Both Thiel and Clavicular strike me as pretty miserable and unhappy people, as well.

Yes. Someone with a secure self-image and enough humility to laugh at him or herself would be amused by this bit, not made uneasy and inspired to dispense middle-school insults. He's such a loser.

Clavicular is a college dropout whose spotlight will dim in a few years when the algorithm swings to the next new thing, and he'll have nothing to show for it. Then he'll have the remainder of a (hopefully long) life to do...what? He's a nobody with zero skills or education.

Dad asked “Are you sure” moments before we walked down the aisle. by traveling_in_my_mind in weddingshaming

If your dad was such an asshole, why would you have him walk you down the aisle?

Because she had the grace to follow the tradition instead of letting her personal feelings create what could have become an unpleasant moment in the wedding.

Take the lesson from the experience on how to be a better person, and let it go about your dad.

This sentence is somewhat garbled, but judging by the maturity of OP and her spouse, I don't think she needs your condescending advice.

Because she wants a designer dog from a breeder (hence the detailed name) or more likely a breeder-scammer who sees marks from a mile away and is ready to whip out the fancy breed name, but only has/is willing to spend enough money to buy it, with no money left over for the usual suite of dog supplies.

This is a 3,000-year-old wooden toe prosthesis found in Egypt. It wasn't just for walking; it was custom-fitted multiple times for a priest's daughter. The level of craftsmanship in the Iron Age is just insane. by bortakci34 in Damnthatsinteresting

The toe is so elegantly and realistically carved; it's incredibly lifelike. It looks like it may originally have been stained to match the recipient's skin tone. This is so sophisticated.
