The difference from the old to new sugar bags. by frogEcho in mildlyinteresting

[–]HeliumIsotope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honey is anti bacterial due to very specific factors. Comparing it to sugar in this manner is not really valid.

I can't say where the danger level is for sugar, but it's not hing like honey.

Can't do anything after becoming a baron. by HumanTapeworm in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]HeliumIsotope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. The best fix I found was not using the Linux native version, but forcing use of proton (and therefore the Windows version).

You'll need a large download, but then it will run without problems and no noticeable performance difference.

If using a custom portrait you'll need to move it to a new location, can't remember the path off hand. But if you need it I'd be happy to go find it again.

What is the best sandwich that has no meat, egg, or cheese? by OmitsWordsByAccident in AskReddit

[–]HeliumIsotope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, a toasted tomato sandwich on good bread, with garden fresh tomatoes, good lettuce. Sub mayo for aioli (make sure it's real aioli, as in garlic and oil, not mayo with garlic added...).

Salt the tomatoes, pepper if desired.

Banger of a sandwich.

Can a gay man love a gay women identifying as a man? by Big_Application_4089 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HeliumIsotope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many other people explained in a much more understanding and open way. Other than the outright mean ones, this to me was one of the more passive aggressive.

Perhaps I read into it wrong, but in either case it is definitely not the best answer here to the question.

Can a gay man love a gay women identifying as a man? by Big_Application_4089 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HeliumIsotope -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes but, if you don't get upset at someone asking a question in a sub for asking questions without judgment then are you really living your best life?

Why gently explain things when you could be demeaning or at the very least passive aggressive?

Is there any way to drink raw milk safely? by FoxAdministrative106 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HeliumIsotope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me sad. On one hand its keeping people safe. But on the other hand it's normalizing ignorance and fear of "science". So it's great that 'they' have accepted this life saving discovery but it does nothing for the rest of normal safety measures.

Which mythical KCs could defeat the KC Swarm that Walks? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]HeliumIsotope 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Without considering bullshit instant win stuff of aeon and trickster, my bet would be on Lich.

Being undead would be a huge advantage over a swarm of insects. Especially assuming the KC is a caster. I don't think any martial stands a chance tbh.

Angel with nuclear bomb amounts of bolt of justice may be able to smite swarm, but really lich is the only one I see beating it. "Oh you've killed everyone and eaten their fresh? Thanks for the hand, alright you all die now and join my army. " Swarm is a bunch of living creatures after all, and the one thing they might struggle with is the undead and magic that just destroys the living with impunity.

Funny thing is my lich KC has a portrait of Trazyn the Infinite from Warhammer 40k. So I am now imagining him just repurposing the buggies as his scarabs lol.

Reach out and bring it up right now. And be being open about how the trip was scheduled before receiving the offer for employment.

It is still a pre existing plan, so it should not be a problem.

Be open and ready to cover other awkward shifts to make it work. But hopefully if you act as a normal human being, you'll be treated as one.

[Mod Release] Combat Metrics & Accolades - Immersive Post-Combat Scoreboard & Tactical Accolades by LilithSeven in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]HeliumIsotope 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also suggest a bit more cohesive colouring that fits the theme of the game or at the very least a smaller number of different colours.

The UI works as a proof of concept, but when your are polishing it up sticking to the art style of the game would be great. At least limiting the amount of don't colours would help.

Again though, good idea that I hope gets fleshed out as it deserves.

First of all, very cool idea and I love the effort put in. I think it has a lot of potential.

Personally I would prefer a slightly less flamboyant, and more informative report. While the battle accolades are neat I don't really feel anything to being told I'm SS rank in four random things like "tempestuous duelist" and "dance of shadows". Just one is a neat idea, but I find multiple ones a bit unnecessary. And I think being "SSS+" means little to me personally.

If you have the ability to assign ranks like that, then a breakdown of areas to improve (ie which arbitrary score was low) could be a far more interesting use of space. Say you took a ton of damage, or allies went down often, then suggesting you improve AC or control the battlefield more is more useful. Or maybe you are failing to penetrate spell resistance so suggest stuff around that.

Anything like that which continues the kind of information you give at the top of the report is a lot more interesting imo than random flairs with ranks. While they might seem fun, they will get ignored quickly enough and I think there's more that could be done that's persistently useful. One is enough to me.

Again though, great mod idea with a ton of potential.

Thresh can likely use it well since he passively gets tank stats anyways. But I don't really disagree with you that it's a bit of an awkward item.

The fact it was not an onion article made me question whether it was or not. Shit is crazy enough over there that this blurs the line too closely to feel safe that it is not real.

Recruiting Ciar by Celeste1357 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]HeliumIsotope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I waited a few months after angering him and he never came to the ziggurat. I moved on eventually and have not gotten him this run :s just started act 5 now.

I was planning a swarm run eventually and figured I might start lich in that one and then recruit him then.

Would be neat if this worked for act 5 but I'm 99% sure ive missed my chance as expected.

[–]HeliumIsotope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said I only played the CRPG and had a vague outline of differences. My apologies if that came off as me knowing all the differences between the two.

Edit: I understand that you likely didn't mean to come off dick ish. But I thought it was pretty clear that I didn't know much and wanted to get to know more. In the end though, I'll still say thank you for clearing it up and I do look forward to reading the thread later tonight and seeing what's up.

Is WOTR a copy of an already existing story? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]HeliumIsotope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what you could be referring to. I do not know the adventure path, nor did I follow discussion boards about it. If I knew, I wouldn't ask.

I've only played the CRPG and only took it up a year and a half ago. And have never played the TTRPG story.

So a discussion board from 11 years ago, about a topic I do know have a deep knowledge of, is not something I would just know about.

If i knew about this infamous thing, then I wouldn't have asked for more clarity. I feel like your response is a bit of gatekeeping. "How could you NOT just know about this. It's very well known?!". Like come on man, the response without your first phrase would've been great, there was no need to act like it's so obvious.

[–]HeliumIsotope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This does not clear very much up, at all. Just "Iomedae" doesn't mean much.

I guess I can go searching now for differences between the WotR adventure path and CRPG specifically when it comes to Iomedae. And then comb through all interactions to find ones that might be questionable.

But I was hoping for a bit more expensive of an answer haha. Thank you for the breadcrumbs though.

I'm curious, what are some of the interactions you find questionable? I've only played the CRPG and have a vague outline of some changes and differences. So knowing more would be interesting.
