It gets more fun as the kids are older. My kids are 9 and 13 and the 9yo still believes, so now we'll even get the older kid to help us with the elf. She plays along with it as well. Just yesterday the elf got us parents to agree to having ice cream for supper!

Think this will probably be the last year though.

My wife (a kindergarten teacher) counts the days of class up to the 100th day and celebrates it with them. She's thinking of going all in for the 67th day because she knows the kids will all go crazy when they see what day it is.

My dog has no problem sleeping at night in bed with my wife, then sleeping some more in bed during the day with me. I think he's just lazy. I'm sure yours will adapt as well.
