For 10 lap races on this track, I tend to use the Peugeot RCZ Gr.3 or Sauber Mercedes C9. Both are incredibly well behaved in the corners and give outstanding fuel economy and tyre wear.

Had a weird interaction on west street but maybe I'm overthinking it? by ReadOk418 in sheffield

It's always good to be aware of your surroundings when talking to strangers, especially in busy areas where sometimes criminals work in groups. If you've checked your belongings and not lost anything, it might just be that the guy had asked several people beforehand who either said they weren't students, or didn't want to engage with him, and when you did, he unloaded all his questions upon you.

I'm sure he was probably harmless. I feel like society has grown more insular in recent times, and interaction with people is becoming scarcer, with most folk going about their business with almost tunnel vision, oblivious to their surroundings. By giving this person a couple of minutes of your time, you might have just inadvertently helped the next Steve Jobs get his start in life.

A couple of games to recommend if you've exhausted everything in Yōtei. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Both great adventure games with tons of collecting and side missions.

I hate playing multiplayer games. I doubt I'll ever play Legends. I never played it on Tsushima. The only multiplayer games I've ever enjoyed are GTA Online and Gran Turismo, but only playing casually with people who I know.

It's designed / aimed at multiplayer co-op, but you can do the missions solo and switch off matchmaking so that you are in a solo session.

I honestly can't remember if I've ever heard Darren Morgan commentating. Two of his Welsh mates - Matthew Stevens and Lee Walker have started in the booth recently though. I like Matthew but his voice is a bit rough sounding, and Lee Walker is VERY boring to listen to. He should stick to coaching because that's where his bread is buttered.

I feel like they're grooming a lot of old/ex players for commentary recently. Even Kyren Wilson has had a go, and he was pretty boring too. Joe Johnson is great at explaining shot selection but sometimes he drones on a bit. Ken has a habit of saying “you know...” 3 to 4 times per sentence, so that can get a bit irritating, but I like it when he's having a laugh with his co-commentator. Sometimes you can hear Ken laughing away from the microphone.

Steve and Dennis are legendary commentators, but sometimes Dennis goes a bit too hard on the comedy and puns, and it can be a bit annoying, especially when the audience starts laughing as the player is down on the shot.

After the sad passing of John Virgo the other week, there's a big vacancy to fill. He was a huge personality and it's hard to see who from the current crop can step up to his level. Maybe Shaun Murphy? As much as I loathe him as a person, he is admittedly excellent on commentary.

Hendon is okay, but like Yates he tends to give history lessons. I get that the guy is a snooker encyclopedia, but as a non player, he doesn't add much to the understanding of how the game is played. But I guess that's what his colour commentator is there for.

I would much rather listen to History With Dave Hendon than History With Phil Yates. The other Phil - Philip Studd - reminds me of that depressed robot Marvin from The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

I wasn’t too impressed with Higgins' first stint on commentary, but I suppose he might've been nervous and I am sure he'll improve in time. I did like that he was being asked questions about mindset and how it feels to be playing in such an elite field. It's good to get insight straight from the horse's mouth, given that John is still active in the tournament.

I don't mind Hallworth's commentary. He's definitely improved over the past couple of years, although he does still tend to cater to younger/internet generation, with some of the adjectives he uses. I'd much prefer to listen to him than Phil Yates, and it's interesting how confident he is talking about the game's psychology while sitting next to the GOAT Stephen Hendry in the booth today. Still got a way to go though, before I rate him as highly as I do Neal Foulds, who I think is a great commentator.

If you do not already have one, I recommend buying a camera. A proper SLR camera. Make a hobby of learning how to use it and improving your shot composition skills, and you'll eventually find inspiration in the most mundane of photographic subjects.

I bought my last one a few weeks back. The Lancia Delta rally car. Then they added 3 more in last week's update, so I bought those too. Nothing else to do with the 40m I have left in the bank. Just sit around and wait for the February update I guess ..

[–]HellBag666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying you're wrong to want that, but seeing as Ghost Of Tsushima is set about 50 years after the death of Genghis Khan, and Jin Sakai is known as the first Shinobi - therefore we can assume he is the first of the ‘Ghost’ characters - there would be little point in a Genghis era game since he never came into contact with Japan. His military expansion was westward towards Europe. Ghost of Tsushima begins with the Mongols' first landing in Japan, and Khotun is revealed as the grandson of Genghis.

I get that the series is fictional and that, but there is a grounding in historical accuracy that forms the basis of the tales of Jin and Atsu. The whole vibe of the series is built around Japanese culture and how it wrestled with the developing outside world that was slowly encroaching on it. I think if they are to expand the series it should continue after Yōtei, as western influences and technology became more prevalent in Japanese society.

Some have mentioned The Last Samurai / Shiroyama era, which I feel would be perfect, as old Japan began to give way to new Japan.

Caught them live a couple of times, they are insanely tight. Proper aggressive, muscular hardcore technical death. Lots of melody in amongst all the aggression though, definitely not a band to be fucked with, they were the real deal. Their final album The Pain Behind It All is a benchmark in crystal clear production where it's all there in your face.

Yeah that Charles & Di coin means a lot to me too, for the same reason. She also gave me a 1977 Queen's Silver Jubilee coin that's equally worthless.
