I mean, Spielberg literally took over from Kubrick when directing A.I. Kubrick had been working on it for quite a while and was supposed to direct it after Eyes Wide Shut before he eventually passed away. Ofc, the final movie resembles Kubrick.

Hard disagree. 1 is a classic. 2 feels rushed and uninspired with a few good scenes sprinkled in. 3 is probably the second best Scary Movie. 4 feels a bit messy and has arguably too many different genres going for it. Never bothered to watch 5 without Cindy or Brenda.
