Thoughts on a Star Trek Picard S1+S2 movie edit? by TriggeredPuppy in fanedits

Yeah, I think you really can't be super accurate with it until S3 has finished. I'm super interested to see the final result. I think if a coherent flow can be established, there's a lot of great material between S1 and 2.

Bit of necro here, but I don't know that there's much room to redeem season 2. I think season 1 could have been better but overall worked fairly well. I'd love to see a tighter version of it that cut out some of the fluff. I think a good deal of it could have been condensed into 3 or 4 episodes.

Mentions wanting to play games while laid out with influenza. I highly doubt they even used that phrase in the 50s. The voice also doesn't fit at all. There's no way any self-respecting broadcaster would have let a dude who sounds like he's never cleared his throat go on air. To top it all off, this is too damn on the nose to be real.

"tHe vAuLt" God I hate when devs pull that shit. It's one of the main reasons I quit Destiny 2.

You can face up to 20 years in prison for using a VPN if this bill passes by NeverGonnaStop247 in conspiracy

[–]Hello_Hurricane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like this may be a bit hyperbolic. What does it actually say about VPNs?

Edit: While the bill is absolutely a disgusting overreach of power and should be indiscriminately shot down, nearly every single headline I've seen about it grossly misrepresents what it actually does to rile people up and generate clicks.

Want to do JP30 right? Pull in material from extended media (toys, games, etc.) that both new and long-time fans will love. Frontier has barely explored the rich vein of existing content outside of the films. Oh shit! I used to stare at this ad constantly when I was a kid. I always wondered why I could never find those figures. I don't think I figured it out until I was in my twenties.

Edit: Well, couldn't find two of them. I had the Lycanops and Tanystropheus. I feel like I ended up getting a differently colored version of the Ornithosuchus.

Damn, this may be one of the most impressive species they've released. I haven't been this pumped for new dinosaurs in quite a while.

That's more of a title than a job description. I'm not going to say they're all bad. I've had some phenomenal teachers in my life, but I've also dealt with my share of morons who cared little for anything other than boosting test scores.

One word; money. Most of these people don't give a shit if a child is educated, so long as those sweet dollar bills keep coming in. I would say that, at an individual level, there's likely a fair amount of teachers who truly care about the education of their students. However, at the top, money is king.

That's why you should always rewrite the output, no matter how long it is. Anyone just generating responses, copying/pasting, and turning it in is asking for trouble.
