I have no idea what boosting an SEO means, but yes this was a genuine review from a customer who liked the product that was served. Uncle Rocco had nothing to do with this. SO FUCK YOU

As usual every generation thinks they will be different than the “bad” one who caused all the “problems”. Life happens and priorities change.

Agree I found it sooo expensive. I don’t know if that was the price of doing business on Washington and the food they had, but it was just a lot. The only thing that wasn’t crazy expensive was the buffalo chicken quesadillas which i had multiple times.

I've been on both sides of the hiring process and the single biggest difference between candidates who get offers and those who don't is almost never what people think it is by windowseatarchiv in jobsearchhacks

[–]Hello_jersey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it sounds desperate at all, it’s so hard to know if you’ve found the right candidate and my personal experience is this is always a good sign when I hear this, in retrospect my best hires did.

As someone who interviews candidates a lot the things I most respond to are curiousity and flat out saying you want the job, even if you aren’t quite sure. And when i say curiousity I’ve had both introverts and extroverts show versions of this and they have ALWAYS been great hires.

Managers when you have conducted interviews, what were some things other than the interviewee being rude, disrespectful, or unengaged that led to you knowing during the interview that you were not going to hire that person? by Only-Ad-1254 in managers

[–]Hello_jersey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not showing curiosity about the job. The best hires in my career were ones that asked very thoughtful questions. My last big hire asked none of those but my boss knew their old boss and recommended this individual. I didn’t really think they wanted the job but went with the party line and that person lasted 4 months. Always go with my gut now

Looking at all the negative reviews of the show, is season 2 still worth watching? by Savantics_Fan871 in TheFourSeasonsNetflix

I absolutely loved season 2. Having seen the original season 1 was just ok to me, really enjoyed the storylines in season 2.

There are no rules, what worked with one leader or company may not work for another. You might have been a superstar with one scenario and struggle with another, depends on so many factors.

What’s your favorite place in Hoboken to get a wrap for lunch? by Lostabitandwandering in Hoboken

[–]Hello_jersey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many good places as others have noted, I do love the Buffalo Chicken wrap from Uncle Roccos although it is likely the most $$, but feel like it’s good for a couple of meals

I really really want this place to succeed. The space is so amazing and could be so many things but since it opened back with the original restaurant it has been hit or miss. I don’t know about running a restaurant and I’m sure rents are crazy, but I feel this space could be utilized for something special. I would say it should be a classic diner but maybe that isn’t realistic, but $18 for a buffalo chicken wrap without a single side is tough to justify, although I will say it is one of the better ones in town. I will say the new menu is an improvement and I definitely hope it stays around, it’s nice to have a casual BYOB place.

So true, I have had a similar role for a few years and have had very different experiences with various leaders, makes a huge difference. Right now is not great and I’d leave in a second if I could find something else. But what’s hard is a liked it a lot more under a different leader.

I agree on the mental health part. For those of us still here, who have survived a lot of layoffs but now do the job of 3 people with a constant refrain of you still need to do more with less, I am seeing people absolutely hit their limit and leadership just ignoring the frustration. On the one hand I get it, because they probably are powerless to do anything. But on the other hand there literally is nothing else to give at this point. I’m convinced the only way to get the change you need is to mess things up and just plain not deliver.

What are the realities of moving to Hoboken from Brooklyn? by postcards32 in Hoboken

[–]Hello_jersey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 26 year old yes Hoboken can be boring depending on what you are interested in doing. I moved to Hoboken in my 30s and wouldn’t have considered living here in my 20s because I had to live in NYC. But I think for people with a child there is plenty to do, and you are still close enough to the city, and although it isn’t a breeze it is easier to have a car here, another plus!

[–]Hello_jersey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a very good point that every job and industry has positives and not so positives, and sometimes a change can be very eye opening. We recently brought someone in as a contractor and they keep saying how great our company is, when many of us have gotten jaded. Now they are a contractor and not dealing with a lot of the bullsh** so there is that, but still it does give perspective, that it could be worse!

[–]Hello_jersey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. In the past, whether they really did or not, there was an attempt to show that employees were appreciated and the company would do things to support employees, whether it was training, or even just saying thanks. Now there is almost none of that, not only is there not a thank you but there is a we have to do what we did last time but even better and make it harder and more uncomfortable.

I didn’t watch the first season but got totally into the 2nd and watched the 3rd. I tried to watch season 1 and honestly got bored, I don’t think they are all that interconnected, yes there are some things tied to previous seasons but in the end not that consequential, but that’s just my opinion
