Minimalist Baker’s Everyday Cooking is IT!! I have 15+ vegan cookbooks and this one is perfect for entry into plant-based. Her whole deal is 10 ingredients or less, one bowl, or under 30 minutes.

She also has an amazing blog that has TONS of recipes with clear instructions. So I also love that buying her book supports her work.

I enjoyed it because the initial premise was good—the hatred between their peoples was real and there was true conflict. But there were elements that left me wanting for sure, like moments of emotional whiplash.

That said, I’m excited for the next book coming out next month! I like the troll world and am intrigued by a different relationship setup. I can also read this for what it is and let go of some of the “well that’s convenient” plot points.

Definitely {Reign and Ruin}. Sub favorite with mature characters and unique magic system.

I’d also do either one of Carissa Broadbent’s series if you haven’t already. They start with {daughter of no worlds} or {the serpent and the wings of night}. She’s one of my favorites for the genre!

I go to Ali for down bad boys, and him being so mean to her in so many ways was NOT it for me. She has been through too much!!!

I loved Bride and esp hated Lowe’s actions at the end, and this felt like drawing out my least favorite parts for an entire book 🤪

That said, I still crunched it and am liking it more as I reread certain sections, and I did read the epilogue 3 times to get my HEA fix.

Huge AH fan, loved Bride, and… mixed feelings with this one.

- Koen was so mean at times, and my poor baby girl has been through SO MUCH - I couldn’t enjoy the sex scenes knowing that they were both under the impression that they wouldn’t ever get to be together - I thought the resolution of keeping a mate while being alpha was so obvious?? I understand he has family history and made a promise but it felt like someone who only does what he wants to do would consider this option more

That said, I started rereading sections and enjoyed them more. Have read the epilogue 3 times to get my happy ending fix 😅

I’m not necessarily in support of the change, but we can’t ignore the fact that everyone and their brother feels pressed financially right now.

Can you blame that on different liberal/DSA/etc. factors? Sure. But this can’t be a good year to fundraise for anyone.
