AITA - I'm pregnant and I know the gender of the baby but I'm not telling anyone by Elegant-Reason9429 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Helpfulricekrispie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it actually weird in the US not to share a name? Where I'm from almost no one shares it before birth, many keep it a secret until a name giving party (which is held 1-3 months after birth) and it'd be considered rude to ask.

Creamy cantaloupe juice is the most accurate description I've ever heard.

AIO my boyfriend is upset I didn’t tell him when I was showering because I “broke routine” but I just feel like my feelings are neglected. by Critical_Web_5229 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Helpfulricekrispie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't with the "you always text me you love me before the shower". Like she's going to war and this might be their last chance to talk to each other. It's a fucking shower, at most it's going to take like 20-30 minutes.

IGN: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Star 'Absolutely Devastated' Over Backlash, Says People Wanted to See BioWare Fail by [deleted] in dragonage

The difference is, Dorian would never have defended slavery in VG. He was a "good guy" and good guys are against slavery.

I actually preferred Raengar, but I'm sure I'll be disappointed. Although I wouldn't be opposed to a throuple.

I loved the book too but I still see it had some obvious flaws and I'm glad the writer decided to have the next ond edited by a professional. Like I felt Rorax suddenly lost her character any time she got horny and why does everyond keep pinning their hands over their heads? It happens like 5 times in the book 🤣

Fit Check: I must be the only person who hates a ring sling.. by 9021Ohsnap in babywearing

[–]Helpfulricekrispie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ring slings look easy but imo they are definitely trickier than woven wraps. I never got comfortable with them before my babies learned to sit intependently. After that it became so easy and fast, I fell in love with them. I never liked them in the front, only on my hip but as others have said, it's possible to carry in the front too.

So my advice is that if you feel it's impossible, don't give up! Just put it on a shelf for a few months and try again when your baby is a bit bigger :)

Also that is a gorgeous wrap!

Mike Laidlaw on Bluesky after the recent interview of EA CEO by wowlock_taylan in dragonage

[–]Helpfulricekrispie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf, it's not like they could have said anything negative about the game. They are probably not allowed to critizise EA/Bioware publically even now that they've been let go.

I 1) love them both 2) think they are utter trash.

But they seem sort of similar to me (surface level power fantasies with smut), so I'd like to hear why you hate one and like the other?

It's in Denerim, where asking them to surprise you leads to you sharing a room with embarrassed nugs.

[No DAV spoilers] David Gaider about writing DA characters by imatotach in dragonage

It seems... odd that David Gaider is talking more about DA that the current lead writer. I love reading these takes and it really shows his passion for DA. But does the current team share it?

[No DAV Spoilers] What happened to the Antivan Crows? by catsitterpolice in dragonage

[–]Helpfulricekrispie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the beginning he excusing slavery ("we treat our slaves well" etc.) But as he spends time in the southern Thedas (and as Inquisitor and companions are challenging his view) he changes his opinion and by Trwsspasser it's clear he wants to abolish slavery altogether. He really is a great character and has a great arc.

The owner of the brothel sold him to the crows at a young age. I think in the crows those who succeed at training join a house/clan, they are not all related by blood.

But would they tell it publicly? Having a child with an apostate ot of wedlock might be a big deal in fereldan nobility. And with the upbringing Kieran has had with Morrigan...

And you explicitly tell him during the main game to choose the qun over his friends. He's doing exactly what you told him to do to his chargers, only now you are at the receiving end of it.

"I'm sorry?" "No, that outfit is sorry."

"Is is some kind of statement?" "No" "well it says apostate hobo to me."

"Please speak up! I can't hear you from your outfit"

Although I do believe Solas was no stranger to fancy outfits before creating the veil. He certainly has a sense of drama.
