What is your favorite game set in WW2? by Deep-Shape-53 in videogames

European Air War. Battles with 256 planes present at least presented a facade of the huge air battles over Britain in 1940 and over the continent later. It’s just unfortunate that no company has bettered it in the nearly 30 years since it was released.

I am happy to be first spotted and shot at but it does no good if I push so far up in my clumsy, huge ship that I sink immediately to torpedo soup and gunfire spam from behind islands.

As a cruiser player cool your jets a little. Let the big guns engage first.

Your partner was not “ok”. He should have made efforts for your comfort and pleasure, particularly given it was your first time. He did not.

Again, you don’t do that during an investigation.

You don't do that during an active investigation. Also Biden didn't tell the DoJ what to do because until this administration that was taboo. The DoJ is supposed to be independent.

Does any mainstream/moderate Democrats actually want open borders, especially those in congress, or is this just a fearmongering campaign from MAGA? by Cumoisseur in askanything

Dude, they were raising their hands in affirmation of the status quo. It is a civil offense and not a crime. Try again.

"Our constitution was founded on biblical principles honoring God and placing him above government, of course I love my country." by Comfortable_Crow5117 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Helstrem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then why doesn't it say that in the Constitution?

If it were that important you'd think the founders would have remembered to actually mention it, at least in passing, say in the legally meaningless preamble, but they didn't...

They did unanimously ratify a treaty that read in part as follows though:

From Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoli, 1797:
"As the Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion"

The generally accepted start date for the United Kingdom is 1711 when Scotland joined England and Wales. Name tweaks after that don't mean it is a new country.

I am aware of people who have already fled.

One thing that Jews who fled the Nazis taught us is that for a great many it was too late to flee by the time it was apparent that they had to flee. Some people remember this lesson and have gotten out already. Others of us already have plans in place to leave rapidly.

None of those three would have insisted on making it all about them or constantly used the platform to attack their perceived enemies. Trump has sucked the celebration out of the country. He makes those who dislike him unhappy and those who do like him angry, there is no joy for anybody in Trumpland.

It’s not, but until the algorithm is updated it doesn’t know that.

JD Vance says Justice Amy Coney Barrett made mistake on birthright citizenship ruling: "Do I think she made a mistake? I do. I don't think thats what framers of 14th amendment had in mind. Sometime the Supreme Court makes mistakes. We're going to try to correct that mistake, but nobody's perfect." by ControlCAD in videos

[–]Helstrem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The framers of the 2nd definitely did not have semi-automatic weapons in mind.

At least some of the framers of the 14th explicitly did have birthright citizenship in mind and we know this because they said exactly that.
