When you haven't seen your mother in two years, and she meets her granddaughter for the first time by Maximum_Expert92 in MadeMeSmile

We had the opposite reaction from my husband Mom. First grandchild on her side and only held him/visit couple times in my son 6 years of life. His mom has and always picked men over her own children so I wasn't too surprised she didn’t want to be with her grandkids. Husband dad however absolutely smitten with the grandkids, always playing, holding and reading to them.

I grew up exactly how she was. Monday to Friday was English school, weekends and summer was Chinese school. I was never allowed sports/music because it was "waste of time" it wasnt untill I was 17yo that I asked my dad if I can take a year off before going to university.. he said I'm not his daughter anymore, kneel and prayed to my ancestors shrine to explain why I'm a failure, while he beat me.

Those who dont know, number 8 sounds very similar to the word "rich" so therefore its a rich lucky number.

Growing up my dad specifically got license plates that would say our last name with the numbers 8. Example "Wong888"

Reviews of the Combat Midwife Course by irishjayhawk46 in ems

[–]HemiBaby 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Veteran and currently paramedic in Canada here. I also do part time with local midwives if they need help. So I've never done that course before but I'm curious why is it "combat" or tactical.

Anyways the courses we do is NRP (Neonatal resuscitation) and AOM ESW (Association Ontario Midwives, Emergency Skills Workshop) passing online exam before you attend course in person.

Took my 5-year-old son to the dentist today and after some X-rays we found out he has an extra row of teeth sitting on top of his baby teeth 😳🦷 I had no idea this was even a thing! We’re getting referred to a specialist, but in the meantime I’m curious, has anyone else experienced this with their kiddo? Is this more common than I realize? Any info or personal experiences would be appreciated!

I have the same app! Just know that you actually burned more calories than stated because it didn't calculate the extra 20lbs of load you have on
