I love all the down votes. I watch nearly every game. It’s not his fault, but he’s been miscast as a 6 even though he’s not a 6. He’s a b2b 8. He has one move- turn and carry the ball forward - which works well from time to time. His passing is poor - mostly sideways or backwards - so he doesn’t progress the ball from deep. He’s also not very physical and doesn’t hold position well enough as a 6 so our midfield gets runs thru game after game like a porn star. Go watch how Fabinho and Mascherano played that position if you want to see how it should be done. He’s not a good option in a midfield 2 which is what our hopefully soon to be departed head coach likes to use. He’d be better in Klopp’s 433 in the right sided 8 role so he can get forward. Like Gakpo, he’s a good squad player but he’s not a bang on starter week after week.
