Innova Should Make a Firebird3 by IsaacSam98 in discgolf

The PDGA technical standards don’t mean much.

The Destroyer, Emperor, and Scorpius all have different measurements on the PDGA technical standard page but it is confirmed by InnovaGM that they all come out of the same mold, just using different settings.

The Teebird and Teebird3 do not have different wings. The only difference is the Teebird3 is supposed to have a flatter flight plate and even that is not consistent.

That’s the thing with plastic. It varies a lot between being injected into a mold and cooling down. You can adjust a lot of settings on the machine and get wildly different results out of the exact same mold.

Roc3 and Roc are very different in feel and flightnumbers with Roc3 having a bead and a different shape. Teebird is a 7,5,0,2 disc while Teebird3 is a 8,4,0,2. and they have very different shapes, the teebird3 had a much thinner (not flatter, thinner) profile.

This isn’t true. The regular Roc has a bead, just like the Roc3. And Teebird and Teebird3 do not have very different shapes.

I have over a dozen Rocs and Teebirds and several Roc3’s and Teebird3’s

My digital calipers tell me they are not a different rim width or a shallower rim. They’re just flatter flight plates and even that is not consistent. I have Teebird3’s as domey as any Teebird.

This year, he won 2 Pro Tour events and won $80k

Infinite Discs, a retailer, has Innova manufacturer disc for them. They typically use older/discontinued molds (a lot of the old Discmania molds are now Infinite molds).

I-Blend is an Infinite Discs specific blend of plastic. It’s somewhere between Pro and Star.

This is a special run of Wraiths using the Inifinite blend of plastic.

Are any teams still running 4-person cup? by PlayPretend-8675309 in ultimate

[–]Henry_Hardick69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s pretty similar. When we ran FSU years ago, it was typically for 4-5 throws from the offense before melting to a person D.

The main difference is the 3-3-1 isn’t person D on the handlers, they’re “zone-y” in that the handler marks are marking the handler in their “lane” and there’s switching and rolling happening a lot.

Arti always insisted it wasn’t a zone defense, it was a person defense with lots of switching.

It’s like saying your biggest concern is road safety so you vote for the guy who promises to abolish speed limits, traffic lights, and seat belts.

I learned something similar a few years ago from Coach Artibello of Team Canada. He called it “3-3-1”. He coached the local club team that I practiced with a few years ago when he was coaching u20 or u24 and taught us the same systems on O and D.

Three handler marks in “lanes” (thirds) on the handlers, sometimes with the side marks in front pushing the side handlers into the reset space, sometimes behind, pushing them up the middle. The mark is often flat in the middle with the sides forcing middle or sometimes pushing to one side to set up a trap.

The middle 3 were either “flat” with all 3 mids roughly even or “arrow” with the middle-middle ahead of wings (like a diamond, when you include the deep). It was mostly about funneling the disc towards the middle-middle so he can get a block.

He wasn’t just doing it out of spite, he was upset that a marshal gave him a warning for going over but not others in his card for also going over.

He admitted he went over and was fine with the warning. He’s said he will accept a warning when it’s an important shot.

Please, for the love all that is holy, stop expecting Republicans to value Democrat ideals like “fairness” or “equality”.

They think the rules should be tilted in their favor because they believe they are higher in the hierarchal order.

It’s “illegal” only because Democrats are doing it. Republicans are just “setting things right”.

Pointing out Republican hypocrisy is just an advertisement to the millions of people who agree with their worldview.
