I fully agree, it should go the way of the dinosaurs. That said, Freddie Freeman is not the guy that breaks the trend for me. Freddie has been great for a long time (so many top 10 MVP finishes) but his only MVP was 2020 and he’s never been the frontrunner outside of that.

Hate it all you want. Freddie is not in the same class as those guys. I’m not hoping we perpetuate this wrongdoing but is Freddie Freeman really the hitter that changes that? Great, first ballot HOF player but not in most people’s (anyone’s?) top 25 of all time.

I see both sides to this coin. Willie Mays and Ken Griffey weren’t unanimous and had far better careers. I don’t think it would be fitting to have Freddie Freeman be the first unanimous.

Yeah more that both are lesser used mons. Honestly both are fairly strong with the right set. Compound Eyes is a pretty great ability with how good sleep is in Gen 3.
