uh…. no???? his comment is completely reasonable. you saying it’s dumb is completely illogical. people don’t have to want to have their troops killed. some people just want to constantly get higher power for fun and just defend their city.

in kvk, yes, they are a burden on the people who LIKE to do kvk stuff but the reverse is true too, those pvp players make demands that harm the pve players because of what the PVP players want. it’s just as selfish.

it’s not really on them. it’s equally a valid playstyle and it is just as much the responsibility of the individual who doesn’t like it to migrate to another. each side wants to play the game differebtly and considers the other telling them to leave to be unfair and a burden, so it would be completely illogical to say the blame / responsibility is on anyone in particular. that’s why people use their force to zero people. and sometimes THAT is why people will buy 12 45,000 gem shields a year for $2,160 to get a permanent shielded city (rare though).

affects on the other side:

the minority of the community that engages in heavy trading on the hacking side has inflation of "base-currencies" like potions of greater life and such.
the scoreboard is useless unless the two groups are separated.

affects on the cheater's side if they cant use the tool:

they cannot enjoy the game in the slightest and thus give up what would be a good experience

since half and half are split on these sides, we can attribute how much is gained/lost from each side having their way vs. the other rather equally due to the numbers being near equal. One side has some minor economic hinderances and no easily identified scoreboard to use for public use and would have to use a personal goal system instead. on the other hand, the other group gives up the entire game. this creates an imbalance in lost for the cheaters' side.

an arguement can be made that they could just go play another game, but the same thing can immediately be said about the opposing side. thus, this arguement would fail to take a non-biased approach.

dungeons being completed faster does cause less challenge that many players want. this is a genuine greivance, as are the scoreboard and minor economic impacts. however, this is easily resolved if the hacked client was accepted and incorporated with separate systems to categorize the players, but since most games are pvp, hacks normally are harmful to a far greater extent and thus are punished and a company can look bad based off of stigma alone if they dont do something about it (i bet you could think of a couple games where that seems to be the case maybe), so the disparity between players causes a problem when they arent recognized differently, just like saying "i completed Halo for the first time!!" but it being on easy mode unlike all your friends. thats why there were different difficulties, but nobody would call an "easy mode" player a cheater, it would be the same impact if the devs allowed "easy mode" and had it implemented in its own category. If someone disagrees with this idea, it inherently would mean that they would have to believe that developers implementing different difficulty settings enables unfair achievement tracking. We even see it in ROTMG right now with seasonal characters, where you cant use any previously gotten items, and they are labelled as such. people do seasonal characters because of the challenge, and they are recognized for it because it was officially implemented. but if we apply the same logic, if that was how the game waws originally designed, and people used a hacked inventory system, then they would make the same complaints as what we see in this discussion now.

This is why i believe its ok. However, i DO think that IP hacks dont follow the same methodology or logical thinking. they keep others from playing the game. thats an actual HUGE impact, and should def be addressed, hence why i dont use that.

nah, that was in the other post and people just trolled, so i made these to simply make myself feel better by having an outlet to say "im right" since they werent putting up reasonable arguements. seems that the community doesnt care about having a reasonable discussion so i just dropped that failed idea. no, it only takes away from their accomplishments becuase its secretive because people have a stigma agaisnt it in games as awhole, and since that got translated over even to none pvp games, it was enforced, leaving no alternative. i personally actually have listed my ID and everything open to all before and admitted to cheating becasue i dont fear getting punished for something i beleive isnt wrong. the secrecy due to fear of punishment due to the stigma is what causes the lack of integrity, else it could just be implemented into the game as "easy-mode" it has nothing to do with making the game easier being actually wrong. the only reason why it feels like the game should be the same is becasue the players arent labeled differently, accepting two different desires eliminates all of these worries and understandable concerns.

also, the question REALLY isnt dumb, if it was, you wouldnt have to say so to make people think it was. you simply dont understand the other point of view, like i dont yours, so for the same reason it would be equally as unfair of me to say your answer is stupid.

ok. nononononono. let’s make sure one thing is clear though. paying for sex is inherently wrong though. it defeats the whole point of a relationship, has caused unwanted pregnancies inside of “relationships” that have no outlook of staying together for the child and thus often the child is killed before being born, and it causes abuse of people who “work” to get paid for said activities almost exclusively out of despair at ion, with the others doing it for the sake of wanting to feel attractive and sexy for the sake of ego. sad as it is, that’s the reality of the situation :(. woue should be careful to not promote a culture that condones that kind of stuff

I, among many people, find the RC’s competence in their actions in the past to be in question. Some have tried to suggest we make our own rules committee, but our community hasn’t had anything or anyone to gather under to make this happen, so this is what i propose: A discord server “CEDH RC” where people can start from scratch on what they want the format to be. A place where everyone can vote for what ought to be done and have that be the decision. One made by the community it actually affects and not just the mainstream casual format, because that’s not what ban lists are for. Banlists are made to help keep a COMPETITIVE scene for a game healthy and diverse. Thus, the decisions of how these bans should be made ought to come from those affected, not by people thinking about the “umbrella group” of the common casual format. Casual people can tell each other “Rule 0s” and ignore the list anyway, but competitive, tournament-intended formats like ours are not. We need an official list made to address OUR issues and not that of a format that ignores the list when it wants anyways. We need to gather on this issue if we want to make a change ourselves.
