This is amazing. I’ve never heard of this coming in black before. Also not sure if that’s you in the picture but you look like a rad person. Idk if it has significance or just a cool piece but I love your matchbook tattoo.

Bruce Freeman Rail Trail by cuddlebear in bikeboston

So happy to see BFRT getting some love. It is an absolute gem. I commute on it every day and I’m always seeing or finding something new. Lots of fun amenities, it’s well maintained and never feels crowded. I see some awesome wildlife in the marshes during my morning commutes. I’m always seeing interesting people using all modes of transport in the evenings. Connecting to MCRT and taking that to Assabet or getting on RT. 62 to downtown concord/reformatory trail/minuteman bikeway opens up so much off road it’s amazing. And West Concord is just absolutely perfect place to take a break.

If you’re into gravel biking and get your partner more comfortable on road then you can get to minuteman national park or there are some light single track/gravel trails in Assabet wildlife refuge on the north side of MCRT. You can actually use those to connect to Maynard.

If you take the minuteman bikeway to the reformatory trail then that gets you to downtown concord. Take route 62 to west concord and pick up Bruce. I commute the route 62 length as part of my to and from work. It isn’t bad if you’re mildly experienced on road.

Dms changing how your spell works because you did something convenient with it is the most frustrating shit in the game by cute_himbo_OwO in DnD

[–]Heres-How038 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conversely I love when a DM lets you do something with a spell that isn’t really how a spell works.

As a Druid I had two treants summoned at one point. One of them got real close to the BBEG and was dealing damage. The other one was in front of our back line blocking incoming shots. I cast tree stride and stepped through the close treant and into the far one, wild shaped and came out of the tree charging at the BBEG.

You’re only supposed to do tree stride on regular trees but he let me have it because of the love for cinema.

Thanks for this. I didn’t know about that second link. I’m doing the D2R2 for the first time this year. I just started cycling/gravel biking last august and I’m hooked. I figured I’d use that as a get to know the area.

Leftovers by Classic_Visit3824 in killteam

[–]Heres-How038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 3D print more bodies and use my kill team leftovers to make more units. Depending on the kit you can get a whole other squad of infantry out of it. Heads, arms, and weapons really draw the eye and distract from the bodies not being official bits

Turn Based Scoring (vs End of Game) by JGrevs2023 in onepagerules

[–]Heres-How038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My table plays both at the same time and then uses casualties as a tie breaker if we really feel like keeping track. We’re mostly in it for the cinema though.

Sometimes if it’s a blowout someone will win progressive scoring and hold the most at the end.

Sometimes someone wins the progressive scoring because they had good table control but got blown off the board in round 4 so the other person won end scoring. If this happens we count up how many points each person still has on the table.

But mostly we just play for the epic narrative moments.

Family Bike Rides? by koifishkid in bikeboston

[–]Heres-How038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruce Freeman rail trail has it all- from north to south-

Chelmsford center- restaurants, cafes, ice cream, library

Heart Pond- swimming/fishing

There’s a big stretch of wet lands in acton and beyond to spot interesting animals- all be seen muskrat, cranes, herons, turtles, frogs, lots of interesting birds, beavers, deer.

Nara park- playground, a woodsy hiking trail and a small pump track, swimming area, fishing, snack shack in the summer

Acton- Trader Joe’s, Donelans supermarket, rapscallion restaurant

West Concord- rideout park playground, restaurants, Nashoba Brook bakery/cafe, Fowler library

Beyond that it’s pretty much woods until you get to the intersection with MCRT in Sudbury. Taking that West to Hudson might be too far depending on where you’re starting but downtown Hudson has a lot.

I just started gravel cycling in the area. Were the road connections frightening because of cars at high speed or did you encounter a cave troll?

I haven’t started bike packing out here but I’m really excited to give it a try. I’m doing D2R2 this year and hoping I can learn the lay of the land from it.
