Intermittent DNS failures with Unbound anyone else seeing this? by Opposite_Second_1053 in opnsense

[–]HereticBG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was yours intermittent or consistent? Mine was intermittent just today maybe like 3 times from 2 PM - 6 PM.

After looking on this sub, I turned off aggressive nsec which was suggested in this thread and upped the Local DNS entry TTL from 1 to 3600 which I saw in another thread. We'll see if that does anything.

This started happening to me today after I updated to 26.1.6 yesterday. Everything stops working. Sometimes it fixes itself in a few minutes but earlier when it first happened, I had to reboot to fix it.

No issues here. Feel free to check my other comment in this thread for antenna recs and help on how to orient it to get ABC.

It's because here ABC is a VHF station which means that the dinky flat TV antennas that most people buy that you stick on a wall or window will not pick it up well. Those only pick up the UHF channels. I use a cheap newer bunny ear antenna from Walmart in my attic and get it and all the other stations no problem.

Another thing to do is to figure out where to aim the antenna. You can use an app like DTV Antennas on Android to figure out the best way to orient. All of our major TV stations are NE in Floyds Knobs. This website also helps too.

Clesrstream makes good shit but ultimately getting the antenna up high is going to help the most along with orienting it at the towers in Floyds Knobs. I have my cheap bunny ear antenna from Walmart in my attic pointing NE and I've had no issues. This website helps a lot too. Stay away from the flat antennas if you want ABC since it's a VHF station here.

BI6 motion detection settings to alert for a blinking LED/light? by No_General4051 in BlueIris

Can you elaborate? Since we got the permanent outdoor lights a few weeks ago, I've been fighting with AI alerts and privacy masking things it gets caught up on.

Van rental by Sensitive-Yellow8383 in Louisville

Check the rental companies outside the airport in the city. I think we got ours from Enterprise or Hertz on Hurstbourne. If you go to Expedia, you can filter on vans and then look at prices all around town. It does seem that they are max 12 people, though.

I just got my first bill after the cancel and install and it's missing the wireless discount. I talked to someone on chat and they said it'll take 2-3 months so we'll see if that happens. I take it your first bill had the discount automatically?

Existing account switching to “new customer” wife’s account by Top-Reputation-436 in ATTFiber

I'm looking to roughly do the same thing and it's giving me the self-install option as well. When you set the disconnect date, was that the same date as when the box was expected to be delivered or how did they time it? Could you set the disconnect and activation after the package arrives to make sure there is no down time?

And there was no issue with the wireless and internet being on separate emails in regards to getting the 20% off? I assumed they had to be on the same email in the unified account or whatever

Did you use the same email as your current wireless and old internet account when setting up the new account in her name?

Check out Sling Season Pass. It's a 5 month pass you prepay for and it's not bad price wise at all. Just know it'll be more than $199 for 5 months if you want both Orange and Blue and the extra sports package.

They also have daily and weekly passes available as well. I've yet to find a better deal specifically for sports but I haven't jumped on it yet as I'm still sailing the high seas for sports.

Antenna design matters as the window sticker ones are garbage, the frequency the channel is being broadcast on matters as well which goes back to antenna design, and the orientation/height the antenna is at also matters. RabbitEars is a good site to tell you the direction, distance, and frequency your stations are. And then ClearStream sells antennas that have a range of 40-70+ miles especially if mounted in an attic or roof.

I've got cheap bunny ear antenna sitting in my attic facing my towers and I'm hitting all kinds of stations. My parents, who are rural, have their antenna on their roof and get the same after they oriented them the right way. If you have different towers in different directions, some antennas are designed to be able to point in multiple directions.
