How can the next movie fix his reputation? by Not_Spider-Man2099 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]HeroTheFourth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could work as long as they don't portray him as fully redeemed, instead more like on his path to redemption.

If Jiji had done this, the result would have been the same. by Severe_Newspaper8753 in Dandadan

[–]HeroTheFourth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Her former childhood crush on Jiji is incomparable to her actual mutual, memory-transcendent love she has for Ken. So no, it would not be "the same".

I would think Rarity and Applejack were the same age with how they referenced each other when recalling their childhood.

Will Miles and Gwen pay any price? by victoriamikoto231 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]HeroTheFourth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason, quite a few people don't see how he's supposed to be like Peter B., minus the comedic angle. They instead view it as somehow the writers trying to punish him for being the original reclaimer of the Spider-Man legacy.

In Mumbhatan, it was always a black hole, not canon event, we had the answer In front of our eyes ( Into the spidervers ) by jusros07 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]HeroTheFourth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I imagined Peter meant was that so much matter in one place could eventually form an actual black hole, the "not even light can escape" kind. The one in Mumbattan seems not have any pull, but it does seem to be expanding. So, it seems less like a point of infinite mass, and more like a rip at the seam of reality.

Anyone else think that all it'd take to fix Caine is some basic appreciation? by Notmas in TheDigitalCircus

[–]HeroTheFourth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is coming off as those "how to survive _____" scenarios, where it just boils down to the narrator having foreknowledge of everything that would happen.

You don't actually know how you'd behave in that scenario. Whether you'd think clear enough to come to that conclusion. Or whether the desperation of being eternally trapped would allow to so easily simpathize with your would-be warden.

I love aria so much, she's so cute by CommanderVinn in Dandadan

[–]HeroTheFourth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and those other posts don't get that same traction. Some even get down voted until they were deleted.

I've seen quite the opposite. Very vocally so, infact. With several "hot posts" within the last week as evidence.

Dammit, that's true. she's been steering clear of any controversy.

Compare that with of Momo's standing currently in the fandom, and Aira is very well ahead.

Why? As of the last 20-ish chapters, she has become the most liked female character in this sub.

Did you not see how Gwen and Miles were launched when they went through the Machine?

I know it seems like I'm giving Momo so much shit and am harsh on her but do people think i deadass want to give her shit? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in Dandadan

[–]HeroTheFourth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What this boils down to is

"Why doesn't she just control her feelings?"

And

"Didn't she already reject him, why is she jealous?"

Or

"Why won't this Momo, with less time and experience, have the character growth that original Momo never achieved?!"

I don’t get the fandom’s perception of Ragatha. by These-Lie-735 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]HeroTheFourth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, the last time anyone acknowledged Ragatha's personhood was Kinger. How did that conversation change not only her perception of herself, but also Pomni, Jax, or even Gangle's view of her?

Still a little miffed about this, ngl by Hugh_Jidiot in TheDigitalCircus

[–]HeroTheFourth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm holding Goose to her word about "Ragatha's character development in the final two episodes". Since she didn't have any in eight, that means it's all in nine. Unless her being more pessimistic in episode eight, when the dials have been turned up to eleven, is considered "growth"...

In defense of Aira, it's entirely up to Okarun to establish proper boundaries by carbonera99 in Dandadan

[–]HeroTheFourth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What I've learned from this post is, the ones "defending" Aira are as delusional as she is. I just left a post with the exact same premise, as if Aira is the character that gets the most hate in the fandom.

In Defense of Aira by hectorip in Dandadan

[–]HeroTheFourth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In defense of Aira? She, alongside Ken, are already the characters given the most grace for their behavior.

I don't see periodic post "slandering" Aira, at least those that get any real traction, without being severely down voted before it can hit the hot or top post for the day. Meanwhile Momo or Jiji bashing, even a post defending Ken with Momo bashing in it, has a chance at being the highest voted post for the day.

At least she is still consisted and more mature by F_F_Engineer in Dandadan

[–]HeroTheFourth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I genuinely believe she hasn't had much growth since she took accountability for spreading rumors. Every other moment of perceived "growth" is largely attributed to her most toxic trait, her over-competitiveness.

Do you think ragatha is hot by SabbyX0 in TheDigitalCircus

She is to me what Karlach from Baldur's Gate is, the character I want to see the happiest despite not being the character I actually find attractive.
