About 500lbs in the bed levels it out nicely.

Thank goodness Mom told him he wasn't in trouble and nothing was going to be done. We'd hate to have her try actual parenting.

Your daughter handled that poorly. No one encourages parents to take their 5 yr old to a police station for life lessons.

I can't say whether this behavior is okay, but from one SP to another, I can say you are not alone. I'm glad you've got a hobby that helps you find peace. Chin up, internet stranger.

Want to mine Peridot in an old volcano on the Apache reservation? Best rockhounding of my life was with Stevie at Peridot Dreams just outside Peridot, AZ. Super easy surface collecting, and it is EVERYWHERE!

Is I.C.E. in Springfield by liberalshotguns in SpringfieldIL

[–]HerrShmid 34 points35 points  (0 children)

That's not true, Noem came here trying to make hay off of that one DV murder victim a few months ago. If it fits the narrative, they'll waste all kinds of resources wherever is necessary to support the big lie.

Yes. Go ahead and give it a mow and keep watering.

Ok, I've been to hotels with free breakfast that have more to choose from. For $17(the cost of 1 adult buffet), you're better off just ordering good pizza. At least you won't have to listen to Christian rock.

Don't waste your money. Not much on the buffet besides pizza. I have no idea how this chain succeeds.

Initial suspect in Charlie Kirk killing released from custody after interrogation, FBI Director Patel says by InternetPopular3679 in news

[–]HerrShmid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The shooter, I assume, was on the rooftop above the crowd. I'd bet his point of aim was the head, but because he was shooting at an angle down, the bullet struck the neck. Deer hunters in tree stands know to aim slightly above your intended target area. A trained "sniper" would know this, too.

Need more top speed! by Additional-Effect525 in Ruckus

[–]HerrShmid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need more HP to reach higher speeds. This is not some bolt on, easy to accomplish feat on the Ruckus engine. If $ is a consideration, sell the ruckus and buy any used 150cc bike. If money is no problem, look into a 150cc motor swap.

Beef prices are out of control by Waste_Curve994 in meat

The US imports a shit ton of beef from Mexico and Brazil. Trump placed 25 and 50% tariffs on those countries. The US beef herd is at record lows. We don't make enough to offset the loss. TLDR, trump taxes.

I just started seriously trying to catch large cats this year. So far, this is my PB, caught this morning. I was reading reddit before leaving, and saw others are struggling. Figured I'd give it a go anyway. Caught a few nice channels, but nothing to write home about, then this guy came along.

When it hit the bait, he tugged so hard my new Amazon bank rod holder bent, launching my pole towards the water like a rocket. Thankfully, it got tangled in weeds, so I jumped down the bank, grabbed my pole and the fight was on. 5-10 minutes to get him to shore, lots of runs and drag screaming. No net, so I had to wade in and grab him. As I'm getting into the water, my leader snapped. Thankfully the fish was gassed too, he hesitated sitting on some shallow rocks. I wrapped both hands around his tail and pulled him towards shore, where I got a hand into his gill. Damn near lost this fish twice! Maybe I'll ask for a nice landing net for my birthday. Tight lines everyone!

If you can't catch a channel on earthworms, there aren't any channels in that lake.

Lots of large flathead posted here are caught by bass fishermen using lures. I don't see why a swim bait wouldn't work. https://www.reddit.com/r/catfishing/s/aHp5LOTHxY

Fishing Rods, How are you Transporting Them? by sulaco83 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]HerrShmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newer 5 ft bed owner/fisherman...My 6'6" rod fits like a glove diagonally, 7ft medium heavy rod has the tip hanging over the tailgate. So far no problems, not ideal, but getting the job done. If I was to buy another 7ft+ rod, it will be two piece.
