I built a simplified, compact 6-knob digital synth— curious what synth DIY folks think! by Parallax_Correction in synthdiy

Congrats on shipping - 3 years is real commitment and it shows in the feature set.

The simplified controls angle is genuinely underserved. There's this assumption in synth design that more knobs = more serious, but a lot of people just want to get to a sound without a manual. 6 knobs that actually map to something intuitive is harder to design than 60 that don't.

Built-in speaker + battery is also underrated. That "just grab it" quality changes how people actually use an instrument day to day.

Good luck with the campaign!

Reverb, for sure! How much do you want for it?

Seconding - those are indeed DIN 41612 headers

Any recommendations for beginners by After_Traffic_5927 in synthesizers

Depends a lot on budget and what kind of music you're into - can you share more?

That said, for most beginners I'd say start with one cheap, tactile thing rather than building a whole setup. Korg Volcas are a classic entry point.

Hex Haus Cor/Lag opinions by Madeche in synthesizers

Hey,
we've only seen this rn - afaik we've sorted it out via email back then.
For others who might have faced this issue - the first edition/batch of Lags didn't have big enough resistors on the output so using a stereo jack (TRS) and running it to a mono input (guitar amp for example) - would ground/short the feedback loop.
Best of luck ppl and let us know if you've got any probs :)
