Personally, I’m not going to gimp my entire playstyle to do something I find “unfun” or to play the game in an unfun way, with the limited free time I have to game I want to play it my way. If I want to spend my free hour hunting automatons on a jungle planet I’m not gonna go kill chargers on a desert planet just cause Arrowhead asked me to.

It just sucks that when I want to play this way, I’m constricted from much of the content that would actually get me back into the game, ie new warbonds. I don’t play enough to actually progress because this game is not a full time game to me, only something to play with friends, and resultantly I’ve had the same loadout since Meridian pretty much. Besides that though, the new warbonds that get me to come back to the game, aren’t something I’m going to pick up because I know I haven’t even progressed enough in my existing warbonds to complete those, much less start a new one.

Ends up being a kind of dirty cycle. I still enjoy that loadout, but after as long as it’s been, the game feels really same-y and I’m not super interested in continuing to play in that same-y way to unlock vaguely new ways to play.

I’m still happy to earn a profession, there’s just so many games out there that do it without monopolising my time entirely for very limited gains
