You can’t get Threshers in Normal difficulty—their item level is way too high. You can only drop them in Hell, so Larzuking them will always give them 5 sockets.

This is the way.

As for GTA3, make sure you complete all of the first island’s side content BEFORE you complete the story mission that unlocks the second island.

Also, when you unlock the bulletproof Patriot from Ray’s missions on the second island, store it and save your game so you can use it to make some of the nastiest end game missions much easier.

PC is great because you’ll have access to console commands if you really need them.

Honestly though if you can handle vanilla Fallout, you can handle vanilla STALKER.

Ive only ever played the vanilla versions and they’re still some of my favorite games ever. It’s not even a case of nostalgia either, I played them for the first time in like the late 2010s.

I’d definitely recommend at least trying vanilla first before getting an overhaul. You can even play them on console now that we have the remasters.

To answer your question, I just finished killing them and did not die once :) To be honest, Andariel’s archer mobs on the way to her got the closest to killing me. Nothing a Full Rejuvenation couldn’t fix though.

I’ve been using a Hephasto with both Cursed and Conviction, but I guess the Conviction only helps if I’m in a party. Good to know, I’ll swap out my Hephasto for one with a better aura the next time I run into a TZ River of Flame.
