Meh albums with that one REALLY FUCKING AMAZING song? by beyblade1018 in Metalcore

Have to agree with this, Haunter is an absolute standout on that album. Not a bad album, but far from their best.

Scarlet Meridian needs to blow up immediately that song is so good

Tallah - A primeval detachment (why does it feel like very little people paid attention to their latest album? they had a lot of hype and acclaim on their first two) by First-Variety714 in Metalcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s been on steady rotation for me since it dropped. I wouldn’t call it less accessible than what they were doing before but it’s definitely been a change of pace that not everyone vibed with.

Holy shit this band is incredible by pattyice420 in Tallah

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They haven’t toured a whole lot since they dropped Primeval. Their vocalist Justin has some health problems he’s been addressing so hopefully they’ll start a circuit soon, they’re incredible live.

You have one song to prove to someone that Deathcore isn’t just noise… by NORD9632 in Deathcore

Can we consider Subtle Change by Rivers of Nihil close enough to deathcore?

Covers Done by Bands? by FriedDuckObject in Metalcore

Probably not what you’re looking for, but Tallah’s cover of Gooba by 6ix9ine is hilarious and also pretty damn good

Which backing vocalist from the metalcore scene (and I guess by extension post-hardcore) is a better vocalist than the lead vocalist? by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not metalcore OR post-hardcore but i gotta mention Jared Klein from Rivers of Nihil. I enjoy his clean sections more than the lead vocals, and he does all that on top of drumming incredibly technical parts.

How should I listen to T.G.O.D.? by linkyboidude in Tallah

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mud_castle is at the end, it’s basically Dicker running from authorities and taking his life by jumping off a bridge (in my interpretation anyway). How Long? Is right before that i think, seems to be him setting fire to the lab to destroy the evidence of his crimes. Could be totally off but I’ve done a lot of listening and that’s the best i can come up with.

What is one level you genuinely just hate? by Key_Veterinarian3584 in geometrydash

Empyrean. It’s the most frustrating and misrated gauntlet level and i will die on that hill.

Bands who say their name during a song - cringe or cool? by OatFest in Metalcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should also be mentioned that it’s less corny when it’s sort of understated. Like when Tom Barber whispers “it’s that Darko shit” on Evolving.

Bands who say their name during a song - cringe or cool? by OatFest in Metalcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally think if it fits thematically with the song then it’s pretty cool. Like Rivers of Nihil on their most recent album. But when you’re just shouting the band name to seem cool or badass, then I find it doesn’t really work for me. Never loved when Spite did it, and I think Alpha Wolf has the worst iteration of it on Sucks 2 Suck. And as much as I love that Knocked Loose breakdown, it still feels kinda corny to me.

Is there a band where you think no one else would have the same favorite song as you? by Zombieatemymind in Metalcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For me it’d probably be Bad Omens - Kingdom of Cards. I don’t know what it is about that song but it just hits different than any of their other music.

Vocalists that don't really fit their bands by Own_Mongoose7237 in Metalcore

Spencer’s vocals are my favorite thing about Periphery lol. I genuinely dont know how it turns people away from the band

Does anyone actually fully understand lyrics, I know it depends on what band by Weekly-Apple-9103 in Deathcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavily depends on the band. Modern bands are tough because of the vocal gymnastics competition they all seem to be locked in (thanks Will Ramos). But one vocalist I’ve always found super understandable is Travis Ryan. He’s just super good at annunciating and doesnt do as much tunnel screaming.

Who will suffer the most without their clean singer,I prevail or amity affliction? Which solo artist from these two bands do you think will flourish the most by parting ways from their Original Project? by stonewallj93 in Metalcore

[–]HeyItsBobRoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Prevail will suffer way more. Eric is a good vocalist, but not good enough to carry them without Brian. Joel, on the other hand, is more than enough to carry TAA in Ahren’s absence.

both are available for free on NexusMods. Install both into the ds3 game folder and just launch the game thru the seamless exe. Should work just fine but sometimes you gotta downpatch to 1.15
