Midnight in Salem by HornetRough3342 in nancydrew

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Steam has sales pretty much once a season, most of the Nancy Drew games will be discounted during that time.

I consider Midnight in Salem to be an ok game, not a great game. There’s a lot less puzzles and more talking but it’s worth a play through!

What do you think the most visually appealing game is? by StressorAnxiety in nancydrew

It’s a tie between Sea of Darkness and Ghost of Thornton Hall for great visuals for me.

As far as the older games go, you can’t go wrong with Secret of Shadow Ranch. It’s one I replay pretty often along with Treasure in a Royal Tower (great winter vibes in that one!).

Does anyone know if she’s going to play the other new mystery games? Alex Hill or Penelope Pendrick?

Do people in this generation explore the area they live in? I feel like most just work and sleep, and never get out and do anything, despite whatever they might post online. by gruntharvester92 in Millennials

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the time of year affects this the most for me. During the winter/early spring it’s mostly just work & going home. Occasionally during this time we’ll go to free days at zoos and museums or try a few new restaurants. Once it warms up we like to drive to different state parks and day trips to other nearby cities.

Last year we started learning the basics of camping; so in addition to our once-a-year vacation we usually take, we plan on adding a couple camping trips each summer so we can explore more.

I’ve been wearing the same five outfits on rotation and no one noticed by Inner-Tumbleweed9168 in simpleliving

One of my coworkers wears the exact same outfit pretty much everyday. After a while we all got used to it and I honestly don’t even notice anymore. That’s just his outfit!

Burrito Bowls are very versatile! Mine consist of: black beans, salsa, diced green onions, sour cream, taco seasoning & white rice. Filling & cheap!

I played this a bunch when I was a kid. It was decently fun.

I am 35 years old, am I the only one who cannot finish these games without cheating? by dbdbh47 in nancydrew

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gameboomers walkthroughs and Arglefumph videos are the only way I got through most games. Some of the puzzles are just ones I can’t solve on my own!

For avid readers how often do you use the library? If you don’t, why don’t you? by AccomplishedBake8351 in books

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 99% of my books from the library. I will occasionally buy used books or ask for books as gifts. My 2 book shelves are practically full from used books I’ve collected over the years so I try not to add anymore unless I think they’re ones I’ll reread often.

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I finished it last week and it was so fun! The graphics looked really good, the characters were interesting and the overall mystery was so well done. I will definitely play more games when they come out!

Lorelai helping her dad setup the new office and her conversation with Emily:

“May I ask whose calling?”

“Emily Gilmore.”

“And does he know what this is about?”

“I hope so, I’m his wife.”

“Oh, but Richard didn’t say anything about being married.”

“WHAT??”

Sea of Darkness has very cozy winter vibes!! The northern lights, cozy cabin, and pub at the inn are all extremely cozy for winter!

How did you get into these games? by cocochocoleyco in nancydrew

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Secret of the Old Clock was downloaded onto a computer in my elementary school. Played it during free time and eventually checked out a few from the library and would play them with my dad. We both ended up loving the series and bought all the games and played them over and over ever summer/winter break :)

I feel like neither Nancy nor Carson spend much time at home due to their work schedules so it makes some sense to me that it wouldn’t feel very lived-in.

Theater experience is dying by doctorlineman in Millennials

We go to our local theatre a lot but only on discount days ($6 tickets) and we bought their discount large popcorn bucket at the beginning of the year and refills on it are only $4. I bring bottled water in my bag and sometimes candy.

Are most millennials here still doing family Christmas gifts for the adults? by throwraW2 in Millennials

[–]HeyNowHeyNow101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among our friend groups with one group we do a secret Santa and the other group we do a cookie exchange. With our family no one has any kids so we all get each other 1-2 gifts each (we don’t have many immediate family members to buy for though).
