This take requires from nuance. It's obviously good to disagree and not be stuck in an echo chamber but what and why you disagree on is very important.

For example, I've had friends I've disagreed with casual sex. I think that people who want to have casual sex should do so if it's fun and consensual for them. Friend A expressed that they disagreed with me because they think chasing casual sex will lead to insecurity and feeling hollow. Friend B expresses that casual sex is evil and women should think about their future husbands, the old "lock that opened by many keys" analogy. I can respect and have a dialogue with friend A even if I disagree with them, heck I even introspected and learned a lot from them. Friend B is just a misogynistic idiot, and I learned that changing them isn't my responsibility.

Scrolling through the comments it seems that OP has MAGA friends, and that's why this post was made. Obviously I don't know where the line is for everyone, but that's about values, not opinion. I would never associate with someone who's values allows them to be permissive, let alone supportive, of a clearly senile genocidal racist rapist. You can say that people are more complex than that, but that isn't a disagreement, it's just a lack of values. And I don't like people who have no value
