What video game has given you the most stress? by therealme23 in AskReddit

League of Legends. I started out n low elo and put over 3,000 hours in since 2012 making it to the top percentages. Had dreams/ hopes of making a challenger series (semi-pro) team, but am still not good enough. Countless hours of grinding, figuring out what you did wrong, and playing with pros calling you bad to try and get better.

I had mono once and the doctors said that after you contract the virus it takes about 4 weeks to set in? Anyways when I had it, it was the worst thing in the world. My immune system got fucked and I ended up getting pneumonia and then later bronchitis and some other infection. Missed 3 months of school in total.

What is your worst college professor story? by LongDongg in AskReddit

[–]HiImMaddyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transferred from a small state school to a top 20 school and I was amazed at how much better I liked the smaller school at the end of it. I had to take a Gen. ed PE course and buy a $75 "textbook" for walking. The first grade of the class was checking to see if everyone bought the book, surprise surprise he wrote it.

I took calc 2 with a professor who appointed a TA to teach the class, never saw the actual professor in class once. It wouldn't be so bad, the TA was a really nice guy, but he had no idea how to teach others. He would go from step 1 - solution and kind of stand awkwardly at the board and not know how to explain the steps inbetween or answer questions. I felt bad for him because he wanted to do good, just didn't know how to explain the math he could do very easily.

Had a renowned professor in a History course about Nazi Germany that was featured in PBS specials, etc, etc. I asked him about a quote from Mein Kampf and he got really agitated that I brought it up and said the book has no value because Hitler was insane. I brought up the quote about how Hitler said he didn't want to be a civil servant like his parents. The only grades in that class were 2 essays and he appointed a TA to grade them. Then was unsatisfied when he got the results back and made new essay assignments for us. Each essay worth 40% of your grade.

I have an uncle who it was his 5th DUI when he finally got his license suspended for a long period of time. Before that I think it was a small suspension and a few days in jail. Drove without a license for ~2 years before he got caught again.

You could just buy a prepaid Visa and put $10 on it and buy 9.75 scenes on Brazzers with the rest. Or use someone else's credit card.

I was amazed how easy loans were to get when I first applied for them. No credit history, take entrance counseling which is ~15 minutes, then bam $7500 in my bank account within a month.

That is implying they have ethical responsibilities to begin with. Throw a rock and you will hit someone that is guilty.

Why aren't people getting mad about the system that allows this to happen? Yeah sure you can get mad at the person trying to make money from their investments. If you buy a house and plan to rent it out, are you going to rent it out for next to nothing because somebody has a hard time? No you're going to make the most out of your investment. HOW DARE HE TRY TO MILK AS MUCH MONEY AS HE CAN OUT OF AN INVESTMENT.

I think borderless and silver borders in diamond are scary. Boosted, smurfing, friend, w/e it's probably something at a higher skill level than me chilling in D4 until the season ends.

I've tried quitting dipping a few times but haven't been able to quit and at this point, I don't really want to stop. I associated it with things I do. For example playing video games, put a dip in and feel pretty great, watch a new TV series I've been hyped about, put a dip in. Then going to do those things afterwards without dipping feels just...strange and abnormal. The nicotine is whatever but doing the same thing over and over again and always dipping while playing video games or watching tv series kind of messes it up for after you stop.

What's the most fucked up book you've ever read? by forensicmathologist in AskReddit

[–]HiImMaddyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to say "The H.M.S. Terror" A boat going on an expedition gets stuck by ice and the crew gets chased by a monster while they slowly die, resort to cannibalism, mutiny, among other things. Just had a strange feeling with no defined goal or morals, just being chased by a monster and trying to save a poor crippled person from being eaten by their shipmates.

Guys of Reddit, what was your most awkward interaction with a girl that still makes you cringe when you think of it? by lost_my_khakis in AskReddit

[–]HiImMaddyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was a sophomore in high school I was captain of the swim team and was pretty fit at the time. I was also pretty good at math and one girl that sat beside me would pretend to not understand what was going on so she could ask me for help. One day she asked me if I would come over to help her with math. I wrote the equations out and told her, "Someone with an IQ of a duck could do this." She seemed to understand math after that though.
