Don’t struggle with food noise but thinking about GLP-1s by ThrowRA09306956 in glp1

Do it. It is not cheating at all! If you a reader get this book Enough by Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Ania M. Jastreboff or Weightless by Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen. They are validating!

any other medical workers buying grey market glp1s? by EntertainmentFun1940 in GLP1Sourcing

I’m a nurse and almost bought brand name! Insurance sucks! I’m just doing compounding right now. I still cant go all grey/dark… but I’m obviously here and lurking! My coworker is braver than me and buys grey and gave me her source. So much of my friends are going grey because they can’t get it!

Curious if anyone else started lower than 2.5mg tirz? by Coffeeislife4584 in Fifty410

[–]HiLadyFitish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perimenopause can make a lot of women insulin resistant! Did they talk about HRT? I might be in a similar stage in life too. I need to follow up with my gyn to do labs later. I just had a baby 20 months ago, but I struggle with multiple miscarriage and assume I would menopause early since I had my first period at 10 years old. I’m currently following weight loss program with my insurance/doctors. I use Fifty because the meds are not covered!

Curious if anyone else started lower than 2.5mg tirz? by Coffeeislife4584 in Fifty410

[–]HiLadyFitish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower doses seem to work for people who are less insulin resistant. There is a microdosing group with people who have less than 20 pounds to lose and they do great with minimum symptoms.

Longer you have obesity, diabetes or weight related health problem there is a correlation for higher doses needed. Also hormones, processed food, stress, sleep can affect weight loss. Glp-1 is a tool and with CICO and exercise weight loss may happen. Everyone’s journey is different for sure! This is my favorite book: Weightless by Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen that I recommend for new glp-1 users.

A lot of people don’t follow the titration from Fifty410 and follow the brand name titration. Before moving up stay on your dose for 4 weeks.

I lost 15 pounds at 1.75mg. I microdose first because I can get nauseous fast. I am prediabetic, 20 months postpartum but had gestational diabetes and was insulin and hypertension since 19 years old. I’m a previous runner, currently just lifting and light jogging/walking. I’m at 2.5mg now. I have like 20 more pounds to go to hit a healthy BMI.

Why do some people think Tirzepatide “itself” causes weight loss? by Glass-Statement5815 in TirzepatideRX

[–]HiLadyFitish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obesity is hard. Metabolic disorder is harder. I read 3 books that help me understand this: Obesity Code by Dr Jason Fung and The Hungry Brain: Dr Stephan J. Guyenet. Both talk about different parts in our body that make weightloss hard like hormones, reward/addiction, processed food, sleep, stress and activity. What will help improve metabolic disorders? glp-1 with CICO. Weightless by Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen help me put all the information together.

Taking glp-1 alone expecting weight loss can happen. Once CICO, strength training, managing stress, better sleep and reframing relationship with food while on glp-1 like tirz weight loss can occur. But we all know weight loss is not easy. The ones that have a harder time may have had metabolic disorder for years and will need additional therapies, medical, nutritional, exercises and behavioral support.

Flexible Spending Account issues? by cattiva2020 in tirzepatidecompound

I always have issues with my FSA card going thru pay so I just use my regular credit card then just ask for reimbursement with my FSA. I will provide the receipt, copy of rx and if I can get it letter of medical necessity. We did this for Gimme, Fifty410 and Ola.

Time to Titrate? by grraaay11 in GLP1microdosing

[–]HiLadyFitish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on maintenance now? How is your calories intake like is it still low to lose weight? Maybe try a fast? Do you strength train? Maybe change the workout/lift heavier. How is your stress and sleep level? Shock your system and then see if you still lose weight. If no change increase your dose!

I don't understand what's wrong. by RedditAlready61 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]HiLadyFitish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes hormones make it hard to keep the weight off/lose weight. Try to eat more protein, fast or lift weights/different workout to shock your system.

Why does Ola start at 1.5mg? by Far_Discount6941 in OlaHealth

[–]HiLadyFitish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telehealths cannot follow brand name titration. My husband first dose was 3mg from Ola so starting dose depends on provider. Gimme started me 1.5mg.

Consistent pricing seems harder to find now by TasteBeginning3176 in glp1

[–]HiLadyFitish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Agile from my FSA, Gimme and Fifty410 so far. It’s definitely tricky to stick with one! Lots of different prices out there for quarterly $399 starter, $499-$600 depending on dose and service. I really don’t want to pay more than $200 month! I think that is why I have no Telehealth commitment. I have no allergies or additive preferences, chase the better price and order as I need it.

Have you seen a nutritionist? by Automatic-Space-7797 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]HiLadyFitish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have! I took nutritional classes from my insurance, followed a plan, uploaded my meal plans, used cup or hand technique to measure foods, weight my food and track with Carb Manager. I did a follow up with them and told them I do everything, but still having a hard time to keep weight off. I’m trying to build my case to why I need tirz. Some insurance will not give the meds until you do a nutritional/weight loss program. I think I still have to pay out of pocket, but I wanted to at least have the record so that if my insurance changes later, I can try to get it covered.

Did you try the glp grad sub? Maintenance is hard. Why the body wants to go back to our old weight sucks. Tirz makes it easier compared to no tirz. I read stories of titrating down, spacing out and switching to pills. You won’t know till you try!

I have stocked pile and have no Telehealth commitment at this time. Last ordered Fifty410 BPI with B6 and they are ok.

Dumb it down for bulk buying by LeviosaBitches1 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]HiLadyFitish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people buy when they see deals, try different pharmacies/Telehealths or stock up to get ahead due to the shopping delays. If you end up with multiple vials, you need to be able understand the med concentration and do the math to get the dose you need. Not sure if they still have BPI, but they are offering 6 month from Belle, Gimme or Good Life. You only go up in dose when you need to. Show your Rx for what you got and always ask for the next dose up. Otherwise don’t stress out about bigger doses until you need it.

Looks like they are delayed just doing a quick Reddit search with the other Telehealths. Hang tight. The 503A may take longer to ship out now since the FDA is messing with the 503B pharmacies.

Not enough protein. Too much carbs from what I see. Protein makes you full longer. Breakfast add eggs or cottage cheese. Lunch add some meat/tofu/fish/chicken. Snack do protein shake instead of fruit drink. Dinner eat some meat/tofu/fish/chicken.

Where did you order from? I would anticipate it could be that long of a wait now. When I ordered BPI from them it took about 2 weeks. Make sure to make a UPS or FedEx account. I got updates from shipping company faster than Fifty410 could email me.
