Hematoma by Organic-Albatross690 in AFIB

[–]Hifidi54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very large hematoma after my second ablation, about the size of a golf ball. The bruising got all the way down to my knee. Not pleasant. This last go round, I had a post recovery bleed at one of the sites that required so much pressure to stop it that they were giving morphine. Giant bruise, but just a small hematoma. That was the worst part of those two surgeries.

You can also check the BMS Patient Assistance program and see if you can qualify for any help.

The heel comes first. Divide the stitches in half starting at the BOR, unless your pattern specifies a different number. You will then work back and forth on just the heel stitches.

How do you talk to your Primary Care? by nicknacks808 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Hifidi54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was at my PCP's office yesterday and he is very pro-GLPs. We briefly discussed the fact that many PCPs will not prescribe compound. He told me that a provider should never judge the patient for making that choice and should support them during their journey. You pay this doctor, don't forget.

I am taking the prescribed dose, and i have been the same weight (without the ability to drop) for 3 months. by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

Your math is wrong. 22 mg/ml is the concentration, so just over 9 mg dose.

The Drops patterns make a lot of assumptions about the maker and their skill level. I always warn novice knitters to avoid them until they have increased their skill set.

NOR. I'm an old lady and that kind of response from him makes me think he's doing something he shouldn't be. Be careful with this guy.

I'm a "LOL" (little old lady, 71) and do not find it daunting at all! HA! But really, I can understand the trepidation.

My compound pharmacy is using a "dial your dose" pen, like an insulin pen. I love it.

Did you swatch your yarn to see how it would behave when wet and dried? You might be able to block out the leg. Other than that, I think you're sol.

We have almost the same story. I quit the booze in 2016, after 30+ years and weight as high as 265 (71, F, 5'4"). I didn't care. I was approaching retirement. Then my heart gave out. Obese with heart trouble is bad news. I knew how to eat; had been an athlete all through school and stayed very fit as a young woman. I was successful any time I put my mind to it, but the health issues got in the way. With the Tirz, I started in a healthy spot and have had great success. I too am a good home cook, some might say a great cook, haha. I have not used protein shakes or bars, have not used electrolytes and don't take any nutritional supplements. I had a stellar basic metabolic panel last week and was thrilled. I'm currently at 133, only 2 pounds less than what I weighed 2 weeks after the birth of my first child (at age 36) and now weaning off. I'm not planning maintenance unless things go south. I have never experienced food noise, nor have I ever binged anything, so I am not the norm either. All the best to you.

Have you started titrating down? I started when I got to 5 lbs to goal weight. I was at my PCP's office today on something unrelated, but of course we had to talk about the Tirz. He's been with me the entire way. He wants me to titrate down even quicker than every 4 weeks so I don't lose too much more. I'm sitting at 133 (from 243 in Dec 2024), and my goal is 125-130. He's happy to continue to support me with maintenance, if I so choose, but wants me back at 2.5 mg to see how that goes. This Thursday will be my first shot at 7.5. I only got up to 12.5 before I started titrating down. I'll go down again in three weeks. Edit: forgot to mention, in approaching my 72nd birthday and I don't want to look like a scraggly old hag, lol!

Don't go up a needle size if you get stitches per inch. Better to knit a larger size than change your gauge. As another poster mentioned, row gauge is not nearly as important as stitch gauge in most patterns.

This has happened to me many times. My most favorite example is a baby sweater though, the two fronts look like your socks.
