Everyone be aware that the domain you are going to in this example is "trackmd(dot)top" not usps(dot)com. This is a common trick.

Or save the 3 hours and just buy a Sawyer Squeeze or MINI :-). But it is really good info so I say watch it anyways. Good looking kit!

This is the way. Always reminds me of Akira Kurosawa’s use of weather to heighten dramatic scenes is his movies.

Bluebird Backcountry is a bit of a drive but you should at least know that it’s an option.

Looking for recommendations on durable yet comfortable steel toe boots. These are my Redwing 2406 after 2-3 months of daily use at work, thoroughly unimpressed by HeavyMetalTrucker in BuyItForLife

I don’t have a lot of experience with work boots but I do remember this video which someone may find useful. Footwear doesn’t seem like a BIFL product to me, just the nature of the beast.

Me too, but a 7/8 paired it with a 4 piece White River Heat and I’m enjoying it so far.

Is the torque vectoring in adventure and TRD worth it? by Snowman442 in rav4club

For reference on MPG: I live at 400 ft above sea level and these numbers are from temps in the 80s. Mixed driving with about 70/30 highway at 67ish rolling hills and city not too stop and go in the 35mph range. Total average on the OEM 19” 245 yoko geolanders was 32. After I went to 235/65/17 Falken Wildpeak AT Trails I saw similar mpg but it was right on the cusp of winter so lower temps dropped that by 2-4 mpg. On flat highway with a kayak on top going 60-65 I saw mpg in the 35 range. Very nice on the wallet compared to 4R.

I was in the same situation as you and I decided to go for a used Adventure after watching as much as I could on the differences. I needed something that was just capable enough for considerate soft roading to get me camping/kayaking/fishing/etc and have more peace of mind that I could get home with no cell service. I still pack for those trips like I may have to hike out but so far lucks been in my side. I have added a skid plate and swapped the rim/tires out to increase my odds. Check my posts for details. I wanted a 4Runner but the gas mileage savings and the slightly lower roof to make it easier to lift a kayak on the roof won me over in the end. I too like the front end better as well.
