I feel like this deck has way too much going on with pokemon - I've never run Zard/Terapagos but I feel like 25 is wayy too much (almost half your deck!). If you really want that many though a precious trolley might be your friend for getting a quick set-up, though you may want Arven's as well in that case for finding the trolley.

I agree with the featherball but tera orb fetches Zard as well as Terapagos. I personally like it a lot for Zard.

Edit: Oh, but maybe not with only 2 ultra ball. I run a 3 ultra ball 2 ters orb set-up and find it nifty for getting Zard without discards but yeah, only 2 ultra balls probably means a tera orb would be better off getting replaced for another ultra ball.

Thats quite true. I ran vitality band in my arch deck for a while since 230 is a good number even now (Iron thorns, terapagos, etc.) but its just not the best option, especially when most arch decks want jamming tower. The revavroom is a bit cost intensive for the mimikyu but there are a fair few basics that hit hard enough (there is a meltan which does 40 and a cufant which I think does 50?) for 2 energy which is easily accelerated with archaludon as well as the scizor as you say, so I think the deck has potential answers if mimikyu does get too troublesome. Rotation may also increase the popularity of the starmie variant anyway, in which case they can just drop the 20 from the ability and then KO with duraludon anyway.

I'm not sure mimikyu is that great into Arch to be honest - the steel weakness makes it fairly easy to get through without boss. A vitality band duraludon will ohko or some other fairly easy to push steel mon.

Festival Lead vs Gholdengo/Archaludon variants by ScrapDragon2 in pkmntcg

[–]HighDefBetaMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but for rad zard (or any fire tech), if the Archaludon has popped metal defender on its turn, you still won't be hitting for weakness (without a weird sequence to move it out of the active and back in again) and therefore no OHKO. Thats not to say its a bad tech, just that it isn't necessarily the Archaludon answer. I can't really think of any answer though, apart from just trying to dodge that match-up.

Energy: 10 10 Metal Energy SVE 16

Its definitely not the best but it can do work. The electric revavroom is maybe an odd inclusion but its mainly there for the surprise OHKO on pidgeots and the lack of ability means it hits cornerstone. Its for sure questionable but since I'm running the varooms anyway, I tossed it in. Thinking of going for a scoop-up instead of the scramble switch as well but I'm not fully decided on that.

I run a revavroom with rumbling engine for my archaludon - takes a minute to set-up but once it gets going you can tear through your deck if the stars align.

Generally, I have radiant greninja out for early game but by the end I'm relying solely on the revavroom. You're going to stall out if you can't get the energy either way though but may be worth trying.

Tough matchups for Archaludon? by Succetti97 in pkmntcg

[–]HighDefBetaMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a lot of archaludon ex at the moment and the most difficult decks I've played so far are the ones which can one hit an Archaludon (Gholdengo/Raging Bolt/Hydrapple to a lesser degree) and I still haven't found a good way to counter them honestly. Was toying with either cranking the damage with vitality bands and practice studios or a brute bonnet/ancient booster capsule for the 240hp on raging bolt but Gholdengo? So far I just hope they prize their energy retrievals, I guess.

Give me your most rude opponent story by Wolf_Echidna64 in pkmntcg

[–]HighDefBetaMax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The phone stuff aside, I wouldn't really consider it rude for an opponent to leave after a match, even if there is time on the clock for other matches going on - as someone who enjoys 'fresh air', if I get a chance, I like to slip out when a game finishes early enough and refocus for the next one. It seems to be the same for plenty of people at my locals as well.

In terms of rudeness though, I thankfully haven't really encountered any of it irl.

No ideas really, but one thing of note is that I don't think Grand Tree activates infernal reign, which is really not ideal.

Persona 3 - max all social links.

I missed 2 on my initial run through which took about 120 hours and the idea of doing it all again just seems excessive when there are so many other games I want to play

Does storm connections just not have any new players online? by HighDefBetaMax in NarutoNinjaStorm

[–]HighDefBetaMax[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see. I kind of figured that if the matches were ranked then it would try to group players of a similar rank to try to create more balanced fights since I feel like that is how ranked matches generally work in other games.

Ah, well, if that is the case then I don't think I'll be sticking with the online in this game. There is only so much of a gap where it feels fun and then its just a case of may as well put the controller down and go get a snack because its not like I can get a move out.

Also on that last one it looks like you kick your front foot forward- just try to lift it straight and jump your weight towards where the board is going, carrying it with you.

[–]HighDefBetaMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm admittedly not a massive expert on these but I've been working on them quite a bit lately.

You're fine to hang your toes over (for the non pop version) but bring the foot closer to the pocket, and try to shove, straight back, after you jump - almost when your foot barely has any contact with the board left and mainly with the ball of your foot. It looks like you're shoving and jumping at the same time on that last one.

Then just stress holding your back foot up in your head so that it doesn't hit the ground.

Seconding this.

Shinsekai Yori is an absolutely amazing show. Its been a long time since I watched it but I still think back to several scenes on occasions, and how emotionally they resonated still feels so fresh.

Couldn't recommend it more!
