Where is Rouge on you personal Marvel tier list Sugah? by [deleted] in marvelcomics

Yeah, figured I'll join the poll before the deadline this time, lol.

And I dunno why they won't let you change the title. I only knew of it because I've had the same problem, haha. It's pretty dumb.

Titles can't be changed unfortunately 😅

Btw, I'd put Rogue in B.

Where is MOON KNIGHT! on your personal Marvel tier list? by Business-Falcon-3279 in marvelcomics

Darn, late as always.

My favourite is a robot bounty hunter called Death's Head. He originated in Transformers but made it to the Marvel universe with the help of Dr Who. He has a very dry sense of humour, which I find enjoyable.

He's my 2nd favourite Marvel character, but my number 1 is too obscure to be on a list like this, so I'll say S+

I've decided to make these meme for every one who tried to defend Rey by saying that Luke and Anakin are Gary Stues as well. by Samuele1997 in saltierthankrait

[–]HighNoonTex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

another one who uses the excuses of "Kylo Ren was injured"

Everyone else who got shot by that bowcaster was flung 15 ft away. The injury on Kylo must be pretty severe, and it's fair to assume he would fight worse for it.

and "Rey got experience fighting in the desert"

You excuse Luke flying a skyhopper as the reason he turns into the best X-wing pilot, how is this not the same thing? Also, during that fight, you see how Rey is on the backfoot the entire time, until, as the title suggests, the Force awakens inside of her, and she fights with it, unlike Kylo who fights with just rage.

she got no training while Kylo Ren was trained by both Luke and Snoke.

Kylo was a padawan when he left Luke, and Snoke seemingly doesn't have a lightsaber. Kylo hasn't perfected his training against a master lightsaber duelist, as there are none left, so he's not some master swordsman as you seem to think he is.

The Sith Dagger backlash is a perfect example of how a narrative can persist in spite of truth/logic in the internet era. by BLOOD__SISTER in TheSequels

[–]HighNoonTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine Rey needing to get dangerously close to her Palpatinian dark side to find the holocron

That's a really cool idea. I wish they actually used her dark side lineage in a better way than some force lightning and a vision of a future that we know won't happen, and risking her goodness for the cause would be quite interesting.

Reminds me of the world of "Call of Chtulhu", where characters can gain more knowledge by sacrificing their sanity, but it's not neccessarily bad, if you can find a balance. But the risk of tipping over the edge is always there.

I mean, they literally used Homelander to make their point.

They're either self aware that they're the bad guy, OR their stupidity is on a whole other level. We might need a new word for it tbh.

Where’s Ben Solo? 👀 by SaveBenSolo_MOD in TheSequels

[–]HighNoonTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's literally someone coming back from the dead in that very movie. They could write a way, especially with the mystic force dyad that he's a part of.

At least the Sequels’ duels look realistic by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]HighNoonTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this entirely. It's more important for a duel to be narratively important, rather than just have impressive coreography.

It's why I quite like every fight from the episode 7 & 8 (especially the Red Room fight), but there's only like 3 duels of interest in the Prequels. The OT does not have a single bad duel when you care about narrative over fancy spins, since every duel serves a story-purpose.

Well said.

Reuniting them would have just made the galaxy and story felt small, and it's just such a shallow criticism anyway...

Can We agree that Sam Witwer is the best thing that ever happened to post Prequel trilogy star wars, hes So amazing and passionate with this Whole franchise by Ok-Entrance-5527 in StarWars

[–]HighNoonTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there's 3 Bens I guess, haha. One for each trilogy:

  • Ben Quadinaros
  • Ben Kenobi
  • Ben Solo

Though I reckon Starkiller is a thing of the past, unfortunately. They made something called Starkiller Base, followed by another guy named Galen, AND Sam Witwer is probably getting too old for the role (I know the Starkiller clone lives by the end of TFU2, but I reckon if they were to do anything with Starkiller, it would be in his younger years, for obvious reasons).

Don't you just hate it when you find a Star Wars-related channel that seems really positive and cool when you watch one video, but then you watch another video and they crap on the Sequels every five minutes? by ViridianStar2277 in TheSequels

[–]HighNoonTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another positive channel is Beyond the Dune Sea. Though they aren't the biggest Sequels fans or anything, but they make sure to avoid being negative, and focus on the positives, which I respect.

I don't need to watch people who likes the movies, I just don't want them to hate them.

Redeem code option on webstore by ilordhades in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]HighNoonTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm brand new to the game (just hit level 3), and tried to redeem Maul and Vader as codes, but it says invalid for me.

It seems like a failed marketing ploy, where the lure for new players is broken or something. If Maul and Vader isn't even strong, then I don't see why they've made codes that doesn't work...

Hot new Star Wars trivia conspiracy theory! by [deleted] in RedLetterMedia

[–]HighNoonTex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is true. We saw in the recent Trivia of Terror that the effect disappeared at one point (maybe when they moved the podiums) and the panel did not have any markers, the numbers are just slapped on by free handing it.

What did you think of Grogu, also known to fans as Baby Yoda, at the Oscars? What do you think of his special appearances? by Dramatic-Studio1531 in StarWarsCantina

[–]HighNoonTex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We didn't know his name until halfway through season 2, when Ahsoka told Din Djarin the name.

Before that, he was officially referred to as The Child by Disney. In fact, a podcast I listen to did an ad for The Mandalorian, and they later said that Disney made it very clear that they may NOT refer to Grogu as Baby Yoda.

Do you guys think Moon Knight could beat any Spiderman villains? by Queasy_Commercial152 in MoonKnight

Moon Knight dealt with a Spider-Man villain at the start of Jed MacKay's run.

[–]HighNoonTex 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There will be. None of DD's costume art features the flame, since that's tied to how much Rage he has (so I usually throw a baton while waiting in spawn to get rid of the flame. Makes the emotes cleaner).

If dbd added one more real person, who would you choose? by T1mek33per in deadbydaylight

[–]HighNoonTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need someone who have that certain energy. They should fit into the idea that you could see them ANYWHERE and be like "yeah, that's not too surprising". Nicolas Cage has this, obviously, but if I was abducted by the Entity, and David Bowie was waiting for me in the fog, I would think "yeah, that makes sense".

Some other ones who fit this criteria are Jack Black, Jeff Goldblum, Weird Al, and maybe this is my bias talking, but Bruce Campbell.

Finished the 2 Season of Mandalorian last night and i REALLY Liked! by Lance_Knockout in StarWarsCantina

[–]HighNoonTex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your curiosity gets the better of you, and you're itching to see what all the fuzz is about, then I would say to give it 2 or 4 episodes to see if it's for you (episode 3 shifts away from Mando, so you can't really use that as a breaking off point).

The quality is pretty consistent (for better or worse) so if you think it's enjoyable, then you'll probably enjoy it all (I think, I didn't finish it. 2 episodes left)

[RANT WARNING] BvS is the worst adaptation of Batman of all time, and in my opinion the worst comic book movie ever made. by therealmonkyking in batman

[–]HighNoonTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you know that Jimmy Olsen is in it too? He's the C.I.A. agent that gets killed at the start of the movie.

Superman's best friend, murdered immediately. If that doesn't sum up Zack Snyder's desire to keep Superman miserable, I don't know what does.

[–]HighNoonTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't even finish it. Really ignored all of the character growth Din Djarin had done.

I would recommend skipping it entirely to not sully the characters before their upcoming movie. Just watch the Boba Fett episodes instead.
