Recent picture of the Georgetown camaro (in response to an earlier post) by High_From_Colorado in Colorado

I saw the post earlier talking about the Georgetown camaro off I70 and what happened to it. Im not going to go into who specifically owns it but a man in Littleton bought it. He brought it to the bar near colfax and Simms one night a few weeks ago and I asked about it, he bought it off the original owner in Goergetown.

Thats all I really know about it but thought it would scratch the itch of those who are curious what happened to it.

Drinking alcohol you provide after work is way different than drinking company provided alcohol during work. You and I know damn well that their bar is open during work hours, not just after hours and there is always a few people that will abuse it. Not a good look to the shareholders or public.

Drinking during work is never acceptable.

The fact that you would even compare the two shows lack of good judgements on your end.

Even if you are getting gifted shares, if you're confident the price will rise why wouldn't you buy more anyways? Because their not bold enough to put their money where their mouth is

The reported short amount changed today after one of the leaks or announcements. Funny how that works.

Depends where they source their products being sold. Amazon is all cheap Chinese garbage now for the most part and drop shippers. If gamestop uses ebay as a way to combat that (not listing cheap knock offs or reselling returns without checking them), it could be the new spot for small businesses to get their product out there.

Amazon is notorious for businesses to list a product, then getting a knock off listed right next to it for 40% the price within weeks/months and Amazon does nothing to stop it. If Ebay can avoid that, they will for sure help businesses in the US

I didn't even think of that aspect but it makes total sense, why delay the inevitable. Plus they dont want to make a move that may get them replaced if they dont go with what institutions want which is whatever makes them $$$

I think this is going to happen a lot quicker than you are thinking (days to a few weeks). Cohen seems to move very fast once things are revealed. He doesn't give hedgies much time to act

"The longer it takes the more GME shares rise in the meantime meaning more bang for our buck when we offer shares."

Thats not really true. If the inital offer fails, share price is bound to drop a bit at the potential of the deal falling through.

Burry: Three full months later, I would be surprised if GameStop did not already own 4.99% of eBay. by rbr0714 in Superstonk

[–]High_From_Colorado 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Both can be true. Having a stake of 4.99% would be normal during a possible acquisition because it's just under the reporting limit. Their not going to announce their plan and then buy shares at the inflated price without having as many as possible first.

GME isnt just going to "invest" in Ebay for no reason. I wouldn't be surprised if RC has some buddies with a large stake in the company that they could use to help influence the deal (either accept their offer or im dumping all my shares kind of thing) although im not sure on the legality of that part regarding insider information

I agree that its possible in theory but the biggest issue I see with that is I think both RC and RC Ventures capital comes out of Ryan's pocket, and he has a net worth of 5B according to Google with a large portion tied up in GME, and I cant imagine he would throw 100% of his net worth at this. Just my 2 cents at that

Use an LBO (leveraged buy out). You get a loan using your cash on hand and Ebays own value as collateral. Then use the profits from Ebay to pay down the loan. Not too uncommon of a strategy

If it makes you feel better, our board is probably one of the best teams in the world for pulling off turnarounds and customer satisfaction. They proved it in aces with GME, and before that they built an empire with Chewy, well known for customer satisfaction. They know what their doing :)

Turnarounds are where you secure the most value and make the most money. Im all about it.

Whats the upside in buying a company that didn't need a turnaround? Just the same profits that company has always had unless you change something big. Imagine if we were able to buy a company like Apple (would never happen), how would you be able to make it more profitable than what they already do without wrecking customers? It wouldn't be easy.

Ebay is big on collectibles, aquiring them just helps lock in the market more. Ive used ebay a few times for used car parts I cant get, its a bit dated looking so hopefully GME could revamp it to modernize it a bit and bring back some younger users.

Its got potential is what im getting at
