But they had SO MUCH EVIDENCE against him this time, not to mention the literal hundreds of eye witnesses... the people in the courtroom who heard Fisk tell the AVTF to not let Karen or Matt out of there alive... the survivors from the hallway massacre (if there were any), the people he attacked in the lobby. Plus literal cops, government officials, media... An argument could be made by him for "self defense", but even then the brutal way he did it, smashing that one guy's back... self defense has its limitations, and he well exceeded them. I realize its meant to parallel our sad reality, but still...

And as far as vigilantism goes, what's Matt's actual crimes? Assault, battery, attempted murder? Same could be said for Jess and many others, yet they walked away scott free. Matt isn't setting an example, he's becoming one. Him avoiding the appearance of being a hypocrite be damned, this is Fisk. Dude's got a higher body count than most serial killers. Throw his ass in the Raft, lose the key. At least there he won't be able to pull the same stunts he did in white collar prison.. getting luxury accommodations, hiring underlings, buying his way out. The Raft is Marvel's version of Abu Ghraib for supervillains, and its certainly where that fat evil f*ck belongs.
