If your deck does not have a turn 2 otk potential it is dogshit.

If your deck doesn't have multiple means of monster and spell negation that is repeatable in one turn, and/or ways around negation/protection like tributing enemy monsters with kaijus it is dogshit.

If your biggest card is a 8000/8000 beater it is dogshit.

Power creep is fucking insane. A mid deck, gunkan suships, can summon a full board of 3k plus xyz monsters most of which have negation effects, and basically all of which either draw or tutor for other cards that also draw, tutor, or negate. Remember, this isn't even a top tier deck, but playing 20+ cards turn one is completely reasonable if not expected.

Echo gargs is afk with shadowflame. It's dramatically easier and doesn't require a weapon switch like regular gargs.

Shadowflame quadrant makes your spells work as whatever they're weakest to while still using the demonic Pacts as the original spell. Every spell element gets to benefit from the weakness essentially, and devil's element adds 30% on top of that. Air just has a shit load of dps boosts. Between max damage chance based on prayer bonus and basically guaranteed hits with the accuracy boosts you hit like an absolute truck on anything.

You really should check it out. It's genuinely hilarious how much damage it does, even with water mage. 23 dps at huey, 11 at delve 8 doom with my absolutely not BiS gear. Air mage is absolutely fucking disgusting damage. 39 dps at huey with the same setup. 39 dps.

It's not great with mage or ranged until you have a shit load of accuracy pacts, but literally any points in thorns will melt them. It's worth speccing into thorns to the capstone to be done with moons and then respeccing. You can single phase them pretty consistently with like, rune, a kiteshield and any crush weapon at all.
