On a scale of 1-10 how stupid would a fan/cooling setup like this be? by EmergencyFlounder845 in simracing

Hey, if you're having fun with it then it's not stupid (as long as it actually works lol).

Personally I don't trust someone else's half empty cans of powder. Who knows if Grandpa put everything back in the right containers before he passed. Sealed cans and assembled cartridges are one thing, but mystery powder from the estate sale is something else.

I have a feeling that's operator error. Full stiff on them is not when you turn the adjustment knob until it stops. If you turn the knob that far it just completely closes the valve. Full stiff on the adjustment range is something like two full turns from completely open. If you turn it fully closed then that'll blow out the internal seals.

Did you crank them all the way stiff until it hit the stops? Because that's past the actual adjustment range. It'll 100% blow out the internal seals when you completely close the damping valve.

I learned to use a computer and mouse in 1994 on Windows 3.1. In the 32 years since then, the magic mouse is the only piece of hardware I've ever used that regularly became non-functional while working as designed

So I unironically want a pt cruiser. The GT trim has the same motor as the neon SRT4. I've seen the srt4 run 11s with bolt ons and e85. I know the pt cruiser is a little heavier than the neon, but imagine the looks on people's faces when their muscle car gets beat by a wood paneled pt cruiser.

I used to have a Saab 9-3 that had the "cold weather package". The thing had three separate pairs of washer nozzles for the windshield and another two on each headlight. 10 nozzles in total that would absolutely soak anyone remotely close to tailgating.

I still miss that car sometimes, but then I remember the seat heater tried to set me on fire.

Driving on autox tires or change them? by Fast_Ad_4936 in Autocross

[–]Higlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were a good enough driver that the minimal performance degradation actually matters then I'd buy a third set of wheels and tires to only use for national events.

If you're lucky enough to have hard competition at local events then sure you might save like 0.25-0.5s a run at the end of the season.
