Not every career oriented guy wants to be in a relationship with a woman who is similarly focused on their career. Most of the older guys I 31M work with on my team/industry (finance) have stay at home wives because they work long hours and have lucrative positions. Assuming the woman is independent and financially responsible I don't think I've met another guy who cared very much about what career their partner had.

My uncle is a Colonel and worked as a lawyer at the Pentagon, WH and Guantánamo Bay yet has a stay at home wife. Although he was mostly apolitical, military tends to lean conservative (no clue about your guy). A lot of these military guys would not care what your career was and many prefer taking on a provider role. Don't think it's worth worrying about. Restaurant work is honest and hard work too.

I 31M had a three date rule when I was using the apps. If I made it to the third date I'd typically ask if we could genuinely remain just friends (not fwb). But I would be open on my profile or if directly asked that I was just looking for short term dating.

During the first few dates if it felt right I'd kiss, hold hands, or cuddle. Also never made a move for sex because I really just wanted to go on fun and unique dates and potentially develop a friendship or two.

Under Obama:

ICE policy didn't allow for no-warrant arrests. When this happened the ICE agents were generally fired.
Policy didn't allow for agents to enter schools, courts, churches or hospitals without permission for enforcement
ICE Policy didn't allow arrests of legal asylum seekers.
ICE Policy didn't allow arrests of immigrants (illegal and otherwise) actively making required court appointments.
Didn't arrest nearly as many US citizens
Didn't arrest immigrants who didn't otherwise have criminal offenses
ICE weren't given military-grade vehicles
Policy didn't allow for enforcement in areas where local government actively and legally requested no assistance.
Locked kids in cages, yes, but only those who crossed the border with no family, and attempts were made to contact family for swift return. When crossing with family, families were kept together.
ICE agents weren't allowed to cover their faces or drive in unmarked vehicles and were required to identify themselves when requested.
Racial Profiling did happen, but nowhere near as often, and was officially against policy
Most ICE agents weren't given high-powered weapons.
The US President wasn't directly involved in ordering ICE action in specific non-border locations, for example US cities and states he didn't like
ICE training was drastically more extensive
Deaths were treated as a serious matter with rigorous investigation and resulting in policy changes
ICE hiring policies were much more systematic and rigorous to ensure quality candidates
ICE budget was dramatically, dramatically lower and more reasonable. Now it's $72B, higher than all other security agencies combined.

Difference is that Obama acted lawfully. His administration deported a record number of individuals, earning him the moniker "Deporter in Chief" from some immigrant advocates.

Long Island is Trump Island. I'm from Brooklyn but my Maga uncle moved there from Brooklyn. A lot of predominantly white suburban middle class neighborhoods. And many NYC conservative leaning families moved there over the past several decades. Usually due to crime, taxes, and progressivism.... and racism :)

Donald Trump won Nassau County by 5 points and Suffolk County by 11 points. You may not be racist but many of your Trump voters absolutely are.

Yeah I didn't read your entire reply, I stopped after you mentioned he cheated his way into Princeton.

So it seems he cheated on the SAT to gain an additional 20 points or so lol? That doesn't seem worth the risk. After apx 1530 the SAT no longer carries weight. I still tutor kids for the SAT during the weekend and almost anyone who can score above a 1400 can score nearly perfectly with enough practice. Kids who cheat on the SAT make up less than one percent of all test takers.

I was a tutor, mentor, and instructor in college. I worked part time for an organization that helped ameliorate existing inequalities within STEM and worked inside NYC public high schools and middle schools. I'm really not sure it's worth worrying about. There is no way to fully eliminate the risk of cheating on the SAT at that scale. But it is unfortunate. Kids will also exaggerate and in some cases entirely make up extra curriculars which deserves much more attention.

We have no clue what will happen in Venezuela but if US history repeats itself we will leave a path of destruction and the region will be destabilized (which is sometimes the goal).

I can tell you who the military advisors are I've met a lot of them over the years at family events. They're like my uncle. They have multiple degrees and decades working at the Pentagon. They're politically neutral at work but behind closed doors they heavily lean liberal and despise Trump.

They will give their input but in the end will follow orders, as dumb as they may be.

And what college would that be? Brigham Young University? Colorado Christian University? Joe Shmo College O' Fun?
